She was so friendly that our holiday got off to an excellent start. The flat is well arranged, clean and comfortable. The only thing that I would have liked is a slightly bigger freezer drawer as I had to take medication which needs to be frozen and special foods but I realise that I am not the usual holiday maker. I would recommend Tree Tops.

  • "The property was clean, tidy, adequately furnished and very suitable for a couple."

It was centrally placed within the town with all amenities within short walking distance. Parking was not a problem, there was plenty of space in the street. The owner was delightful and helpful. The only negative point to make was the constant annoyance and interfering from the elderly lady within the flat below at No.1. Any noise (at all) and she complained. You felt like you were walking on eggshells the whole time.

Quiet, clean and welcoming. Lovely big bed and Gillian even put up a Christmas tree for me, which was a lovely gesture. My only bug bear is the holiday was non refundable, which made me nervous. However this is a concern with the holiday company itself definitely not the accommodation or the owner x

  • "Hi Gillian, thankyou for our stay."

The property was clean and well presented. I did use the Washer/Dryer a little and found it easy enough. Saying that it took a quick download of it's manual to understand certain functions. Perhaps the inclusion of a Paper Copy might prove useful for those not able to find it online. Other than that facilities were more than enough. I trust you found the state of the property as left acceptable. We would stay again without a doubt. Regards, Paul McArdle.

Hi Paul, glad you enjoyed your stay and pleased that you would like to stay again at Tree Tops. It was lovely to meet you both. Sorry to hear you had to download the manual from the internet for the washer/dryer as all the manuals for all electrical appliances in the property are kept in the kitchen cupboard above the microwave. I should have mentioned this, sorry, but I'll make sure that all future guests know where to access these if they ever need to refer to them so thanks for this feedback. Thank you also for leaving the property spotlessly clean and tidy. Property Owner

Very clean, and fully equipped in the kitchen for all self-catering needs. Shower good and bed comfy. The parking permit is a bonus in Scarborough, and Gillian (the owner) was even happy to give it to me when I arrived early. The WiFi is excellent and supported my Fire Tv Cube with no problems. Beaches, cliffs and hills are all easily accessible from the apartment. Great beaches here and also in Filey and Bridlington. If you like walking I recommend Ravenscar to Robin Hood’s Bay, Speeton to Bempton cliffs, or inland to walk the Hole of Horcum which is fabulous. Everything within 40 mins of the apartment. Definitely recommend.

It's compact but perfect for a couple. The owner Gillian met us on arrival and was very helpful in advising us where the local pubs, shops, takeaways and restaurants were. She'd even taken on board that we were on public transport and gave us details of the various bus routes we needed to get out and about. There were more than adequate supplies of tea and coffee. The accommodation was very clean and bedding, towels, toilet and kitchen rolls were also supplied. We had a really good week and Gillian's mid week call to check if everything was OK was a nice touch. Gillian was such an excellent host that she even returned some washing we'd left in the machine. Plenty of cooking utensils and essentials that were needed. Gillian is a lovely lady, she left a packet of biscuits and milk, so we had a lovely cup of tea upon arrival [it was needed]. Bed was lovely and comfortable, maybe suggest a king size quilt for the bed. Trafalgar Square, where Tree Tops is situated was nice and quiet. Bus stop at the top of the road was handy after a day out, we caught the bus home at only 50p each, what a bargain. 2 supermarkets close by, a lovely pub for Sunday lunch [The Castle Tavern], everything within walking distance. Gillian, the owner, was very nice so no problems except for the television. It was a little old set, the usb port didn't work and the dvd player kept jumping. I cannot understand why there are so many rubbish televisions in self catering properties. I have stayed with Sykes 4 times now, twice with my sister, and three out of the four had a television we would have thrown out. The point of self catering is that if you just want to stay in and chill you can do, so how come the television is not given a thought. Gillian, I would suggest the purchase of a new set post haste! and all you other property owners take note. This is a relatively cheap purchase, get your acts together and Sykes please give it some attention.

The flat is bright and spacious with lovely views over the community gardens, in the kitchen area there are the usual white goods of a fridge and cooker as well as a dishwasher and washing machine. There is also a generous supply of crockery and cutlery. The sitting room area has a sofa, Tv and dvd player plus table and 2 chairs. In the bedroom there is the largest wardrobe I have ever seen so plenty of room for your clothes.
