  • "The house looked lovely on first view."

Unfortunately the place was not clean, we had to buy a brush set and a mop to clean the whole place as the floors were terrible, there is a vacuum there but the battery cuts out after 2 seconds of use. It's further than a 2 step walk to the gate for the little garden to let your dogs out. Maintenance needs to be done on the whole property. The shower hose is black with grime which was disgusting. We loved the area but unfortunately would not be returning for another stay at this property.

The property was clean and comfortable with everything we needed for our stay. Loved the garden area and we used it a lot as we had some lovely weather. It is only a couple of steps from the front door which was not a problem for ourselves or our dog. The owner came to let us know we had no wifi as there had been an accident which had brought down the pole, this was very thoughtful of her. I would definitely recommend this accommodation as it is a very peaceful area and although on a golf course we heard very little from the golfers. There are plenty of walks nearby and some lovely places to visit Thank you Linda for the flowers and goodies and providing us with delightful accommodation.

Underfloor heating was lovely , we just couldn’t get the one in the bathroom to work . The sofa , as other guests have commented is not very comfortable. Maybe a small corner sofa would be better ? Kitchen was fully equipped, with everything you may need and with a lovely welcome pack and dog bed , bowls and treats which Chase loved . They garden was as lovely and we sat relaxing in the sun eating breakfast and and in the afternoons it a real sun trap . Great location and a short drive into Cottingham centre and in to Beverley . Wee Woody was perfect for us and our two small dogs. The enclosed garden area was ideal for evenings sat out in the sun and safe for the dogs. The location was very quiet with just the occasional sound of golfers cleaning and striking their balls off the first tee. Some lovely walks and decent cycle routes in the area too. Will definitely come again. The only minor drawback was a lack of clothes washing facilities, but we didn't need it on this occasion.

The kitchen facilities are good... although the wobbly tap needs sorting! There is everything you need for a comfortable stay in a good location. There are one or two things that need updating/ repairing like the shower head (doesn't sit properly in its holder) and the vacuum cleaner. I had hoped to remove most of my dogs hair before the cleaners came in but the Dyson wasn't working properly. The TV in the lounge has a mind of its own, randomly switching on when it feels like it. I do think the bedding could do with updating. Having said this, I have stayed before and will stay again as its a pleasant alternative to guest flats or hotels when visiting my mum. It's dog friendly and very near some excellent walks.

Bed very comfotable but needs spare blankets for really cold conditions. Quilt warm but needs the bigger size to prevent cold at the sides. Wood burning stove worked ok. Please check if there is a ventilator fitted which is a requirement for these stoves. Shower works ok but is incredibly noisy and does not give a good water flow. If there is a hot water tank you could use a standard shower and a separate pump. A sink drainer would make washing up easier. Lovely walks across the golf course.

As it is on a golf course there was very little noise and extremely quite during the night so no disturbances. Only one problem was the bed, very clean but extremely soft and the bed frame was unstable. Suggest that if the bed was to be changed it could be up graded to a king size, we are not big people but found it to be a small double? Also a small ironing board and iron would have been useful.
