  • "A amazing historical building with many of the original workings of the mill still intact."

The owner who restored and converted the building should be commended for how it has been done. It’s a great place to stay offering well designed high quality accommodation in a central location. It offers easy access to the dales and all the transport links plus a central location in Skipton for all that the town has to offer. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to wanting a holiday in that area.

  • "We all had a great time for my 70th birthday at the Eller Beck, there were 9 of us in total, 6 adults and 3 children, one of them was 3 years old, so much space for everyone, the little one absolutely loved it and didn't want to go home."

The property is beautiful, so tastefully furnished, and the water mill history and machinery on display is fascinating, the juke box in the lounge was a real winner with young and old, we all loved it, some great music on there. The location is perfect, just a couple of minutes walk from the castle and Market place, loads of great pubs and restaurants on your doorstep, parking is perfect, just had to book one extra car in, which was very easy. The owner Andrew was such a nice guy, very helpful and friendly. If I had a small criticism it would be that the gym next door does start very early, but we were invariably up and about by then anyway. We would most certainly recommend to family and friends.

  • "Our family love The Eller Beck - the location near Skipton Woods, the pen plan accommodation with the lounge having plenty of seating for a large group, the ease of walking into the town especially for the younger members."

The number of shower rooms, one with a bath, suited the family needs. The entrance hall is large for putting walking shoes etc.to prevent trips and falls. Highly recommend.

It’s really great you guys have made a return trip to the Eller Beck within the Ancient High Corn Mill. We are looking to offer every visitor a really special visit. Would welcome you back any time. Thanks for the review Property Owner

  • "A lovely holiday and accommodation was fantastic."

Only one grievance was the fact that on our second night the Mills Waterwheel was left turned on all night, meaning a sleepless night for all 4 of us, due to the noise! As the gate to the Wheels handle had been locked we just had to endure the problem until the shop unlocked it on the Monday morning.

Another fantastic group of people, we are very sorry the staff failed to check the water wheel had been left off. If you visit again please call me regarding this kind of issue. We will resolve it very quickly. Hope you can come again Property Owner

  • "Lovely and clean large apartment in a great and very close location to the local amenities."

Lots of shops, pubs, cafes etc within easy walking distance of the apartment. Jukebox was a great feature! Would recommend some electric cooling fans to be provided as the apartment did get very hot at times especially in the living/kitchen room and couldn’t seem to get any thru draughts even when all windows and doors were open but the weather was hot as well. Also other problem we came across were at times getting parked! Even though had designated parking spot we found that we couldn’t park there most times as it seems as though it was a bit of free for all and first come first served basis which was annoying at times. Overall a lovely apartment with all amenities provided for a lovely stay in a great central location. Skipton itself is a lovely place to visit/stay and we had a lovely holiday. Would recommend The Eller Beck and will definitely return.

Great to meet lovely people, and receive good feed back. Glad you had a lovely holiday Property Owner

  • "We really enjoyed our stay at Eller Beck."

It was a beautifully decorated and well equipped holiday apartment. It’s location in Skipton made getting to local shops and eateries super simple. We walked to the train station one day for a day trip to Leeds, it only took about 10-15 minutes. The use of the electric car charger was really important to us as we came in our Tesla and had plans to explore the Dales during our visit. If you’re not a fan of running water noises while you sleep, this is not the apartment for you as it is an old mill building.

About the location

SKIPTON

Grassington 9 miles; Harrogate 20 miles.

Known as “The Gateway to the Dales”, Skipton is well placed for visiting all that the Dales has to offer, whilst York, the Lake District and the West Coast are also within easy motoring distance. This lovely market town has much to interest the enthusiastic visitor, boasting an ancient castle open to the public, a beautiful old parish church and a colourful market occupying the cobbled setts each side of the high street. In 2014, The Sunday Times named Skipton as Britain's "best place to live" and two years later placed it among the nine best towns in Yorkshire and the North-East. Steam railways with regular excursions are available at Embsay and Bolton Abbey, and the Leeds to Liverpool Canal passes through Skipton with the 1 mile long Foulridge Tunnel and the 5-rise locks at Bingley within a short travel. Golf, swimming, squash, tennis and snooker are all available locally and the excellent public transport means the car can be left at home!
