  • "My son left some items ,which we reported, we received a prompt phone call from the property contact and these were posted back to us."

We felt this was an excellent service. We have stayed here before & the addition of a larger TV made this an ideal place to stay for a family visit catering for ages 81 to 16, nothing is too far away. Thanks for another enjoyable stay.

  • "A lovely house indeed."

We stayed next door last year but when I was looking again found Mayfield Sands and a couple of reasons we decided to stay here instead was because of the courtyard and also the range cooker. I know it sounds like odd reasons but when you are catering for a lot of people it really makes a difference to have the range cooker and when you have a small dog the courtyard was lovely as she could not get out. Only one thing I would say is that it would have been handy to have two keys because we had friends with us with a dog so they were going out early to walk her but the rest of us were not up then so they were unable to lock the door behind them.

Outdoor space good. Very spacious indoors. Parking OK. Just had to be sure there was always a car in front of the house in case any of the passing cars looking to park took it. Sandra very helpful when queried about the dishwasher. We couldn’t get the second floor bathroom shower to run on cold. Too hot to use. Sandra later said it had been stuck and would have turned further. We were worried about breaking it. Couldn’t cook our holiday crumble as there was no Pyrex. Oven tins need replacing. But we’ve booked for next year so we must have loved it for all its good points.

Ideal location, didn't need to use cars at all, more space than you'd ever need, loads of bathrooms, bedrooms are really lovely and comfortable. Only criticism would be the kitchen definitely needs an upgrade, it's a bit old and shabby and dark. That said we'd definitely come again but it's all booked up for next August!

  • "Beautiful big house."

Great for large family’s like we had as you don’t feel on top of each other and cramped. Loved staying here the only 2 things I’d say is the water pressure in the showers they’re not very powerful the water temperature isn’t always consistent and can suddenly change to really hot… the very top floor shower we couldn’t get to temp it was just red hot even on the coldest setting. Second thing would be another set of keys 1 key between 10 of us wasn’t ideal as if some wanted to go back to go to bed we’d have to wait up for if anyone stayed out longer as we couldn’t have the property locked and one in the key safe. Other than that it was great and we had a great time! And we will most probably be back!

The property now has a bigger tv than before I no it was a problem for some people the size of the tv before. This property is a 2 minute walk to beach and sea front and a 10 minute walk in to Bridlington the property is comfortable with a front room which my grandson loved playing with his toys a tv room for adults to watch euros and then dinning room for us all to have chat my only criticism is could do with brighter lighting in dining room same as tv room but that’s me been picky we have already booked for next year .

Garden also in need of tidy up & clean. Needs a good light on top floor very poor. A lot of chipped paint but I suppose nearing end of season. Some mats are pure tripping hazards & unnecessary. We really enjoyed our stay despite these things & would consider returning due to location & spacious property but would love to see some maintenance work & removal of rusty fridge etc in utility. Lounges are great especially for little ones! Our party ranged from 3 years to 99 years, a bit of a struggle with wheelchair but we managed it! Drive only realistically fits 1 car but there is room outside if available.

Perfect location too, 5 mins from a lovely beach, 10 mins to the centre of Brid, we didn't need to take cars out at all, except for shopping. Theres a big Lidl half a mile away plus a big Tesco. The showers were temperamental and we couldn't find a dustpan and brush but that's really the only criticism. 10 out of 10 would recommend, we're planning on coming back next year.

Plenty of room for our group of eleven. Very comfortable beds and pillows. Although the bedding, bathrooms and the kitchen seemed clean it really would benefit from a deep clean and some minor maintenance work, it is a little tired. On arrival there was a mild smell of damp, it didn't smell clean & fresh. Small things that let it down, for example paint peeling off the wall around the kitchen sink, utility needs freshening up, chipped paint on walls. The odd light bulb out. Garden needs a little attention too.

The property is spacious and has all the requirements to cater for days in if the weather is poorly, however we were blessed with good weather and even took advantage of the large BBQ located in the garden shed. My mum who is 75 and shakey on her feet was very much comfortable in the ground floor bedroom which was perfect as she would not have got up stairs. Hallway is large enough to house a wheelchair and 3 buggies we had for the young kids / baby. All in all would thoughroughly recomend and would love to return. The only negative if I was nick picking and I did read on a previous post was the very small TV in the living room, could be much bigger as elderly with failing eyesight and not to mention people are used to a big TV nowadays.

For a very large, very comfortable house which is well equipped for all ages, the parking only allows for one car on the premises and one across the drive. If there are more than 2 cars it is pot luck if there is a space on the road. Not such a problem at the time we stayed but I imagine the summer months could be difficult. However we had a very good holiday as the situation of the house with the beach at the end of the road was fantastic for younger children and adults alike.
