Poppy Lodge is a lovely lodge with a very homely, cosy feel and has everything you need while you’re there. Lovely furnishings and a very very comfy bed. A lovely welcome pack greeted us on arrival. Badger retreat is a peaceful place and with a dog walking field top of the hill behind the lodges it made for a very relaxing stay and we would definitely book again.

"One of the best lodges we've stayed in very comfortable and clean and the bottle of wine in the fridge along with cereal is a very nice touch."

Just our opinion but a TV in bedroom would be nice but that's us it's what we do in the morning with a brew. Fantastic place for us on our birthday days and anniversary

One of the nicest places we,ve been to and badgers retreat is right name for this site, marvellous not to hear any traffic noise beautifully kept site with great walks with dog up over hill,plenty of wildlife to see ,also great delivery of fish&chips ,Indian restaurant superb ordered online as bad phone connection because you are down in a beautiful valley and shops and town centre a mere 5min drive away really relaxing break

"Had a lovely stay at poppy lodge."

Very clean and had a huge comfy bed. Very peaceful and relaxing surroundings. Secure decking area for our spaniel so didn’t need to worry about him escaping. Beautiful lodge with everything you could ask for.

"Very comfortable living."

Only concern is a peculiar odour outside and walk in wardrobe. Area is very pretty countryside and no large distance to many interesting places. Not keen on Leyburn maybe because we didn't have the best experience at Chapman's coffee shop.

"The lodge was just perfect."

Such a quiet location surrounded by greenery. The back where the sun loungers are has a grassy hill which I think should be shown in pictures. The other people who live there didn’t come across as friendly or welcoming at all though and it could be the one thing that put us off. Everybody’s experience is different though. The place itself was cosy and had everything we needed. The owner was as friendly as you like and always got back asap to any query which were all prior to the visit. A lovely place

Lovely deep bath and fantastic huge bed!!! Welcome pack was much appreciated, thank you. Love the field out the back where the dogs could be let off the lead, not something you find on many parks. So peaceful yet only 5 mins from eateries and shops. Looking forward to returning soon xx

10 Poppy Lodge is a wonderful, detached property resting in a quiet holiday park in Tunstall near Catterick, North Yorkshire.

Providing ground-floor living and wonderful views of the Swaledale countryside, as well as being within easy reach of the Yorkshire Dales and North York Moors National Parks, this is a superb setting for couples or families wanting to explore North Yorkshire.

Two sought-after off-road parking spaces will greet you on arrival, before making your way up the steps to the front of the rear decking where you can unwind in the sitting area, in the peaceful surroundings.

Be enveloped into an open-plan living space that boasts tasteful décor with orange accents; relax with your loved one on the plush sofas in front of the electric fire as you watch your favourite show on the Smart TV.

Continue through the space to the well-equipped kitchen where you can fix up tasty meals, ready to enjoy with loved ones at the dining table for four as you toast to an unforgettable holiday.

As the day comes to an end, venture to the back of the lodge to find an inviting master bedroom that is accompanied by an en-suite shower room; enjoy a well-deserved rest on the super-king-size bed after a day of outdoor activities.

There is also an additional bathroom is located next door, where you can freshen up with your choice of bath or shower.

Sunbathe with a cold drink in hand on the loungers on the rear part of the decking and look out over the rolling hills of the Swaledale valley.
