  • "We thought the house was amazing and thoroughly enjoyed our stay."

Hot tub was a huge hit with both adults and children. Beds very comfy. Rooms spacious so plenty of opportunities to get together and socialise but equally enough space to have a bit of time to yourself. Improvements : vacuum cleaner doesn’t pick up and no broom or mop for kitchen floor. No wooden spoons or serving spoons. Better instructions on where to park. Loved the grocery welcome pack and the fresh flowers a nice touch. All in all a great house would recommend as long as you are ok with stairs - they deffo helped burn off the extra calories consumed over the weekend!

  • "Fabulous, spacious, well equipped and very comfortable house."

The Welcome pack was excellent, with everything you'd need for a first night. Thank you, very much appreciated. Just 2 points for your consideration: As our stay was early October, the weather was very rainy for the first 2 nights. No problem. However, if the hot tub had a canopy, we could have still used it. Perhaps you'd consider arranging a canopy for the comfort of future Customers. In addition, the timing of the heating should be your Customer's choice. Thank you

  • "Beautifully furnished property in a really central yet quiet location."

We didn't have much trouble finding locations to park using the permits provided. One thing which we hadn't realised from the description, though, was the open plan nature of the top floor room. Having no door meant the toilet and bath felt very open-plan indeed! Also, there is no shower in this room which meant there is only the one shower for the whole house. Would highly recommend, despite this.

  • "This was an excellent house to stay in."

All the facilities were very good indeed and there was plenty of space for 4 couples to stay in. We spent a lot of the time socialising in the spacious kitchen diner. Being so close to the centre of Whitby was a big bonus. Parking was a little tricky - as it is all around Whitby and you need to check that you have enough permits for the amount of cars you bring.

  • "We were a party of 6 plus a three year old and we then had visitors during the week."

Trillo is perfectly placed for everything Whitby and has the benefit of a garden and hot tub which is very rare in Whitby. The kitchen was well equipped, the bedrooms beautiful and the welcome pack much appreciated. I’d also like to thank Izzy and Edwin for their super fast responses to correspondence and for posting my dress back when I’d stupidly left it there and they are incredibly friendly and approachable. The kitchen would benefit from a mop with which I’d have been able to clean the floor during our stay. We will definitely stay here again and loved every minute!! Thank you

  • "Wonderful house with all amenities provided."

Four really good size (and quirky) bedrooms, all with good sized TV’s. Two large sitting rooms, first and second floor with large TV’s. Very large family bathroom with roll top bath and good shower on third floor, roll top bath on fourth floor with sink a toilet. Downstairs cloakroom. Extremely large kitchen with everything you need provided, including bottle of milk, butter and six eggs. Well maintained hot tub. All together a really lovely stay, being close to the train station and shops. My only negative comment would be that the small garden and furniture need some TLC. Parking wasn’t too bad as managed to get both cars parked up outside, with the scratch cards in the window, for the duration of our stay. There is a park at the top of Newton Street where you can take your furry friends for a walk but it is very steep and dogs must be on a lead. The other park, where dogs are not allowed, is absolutely stunning and worth a walk round. All together a really lovely stay and highly recommended. Great communication with the owners too.

  • "An exceptional holiday home in Whitby!"

Me and my family have been coming to Whitby for many years and this is by far the best holiday home we have stayed in. I don’t think the photos on the Sykes website do it justice. The living accommodation and the bedrooms are is very spacious, which can be hard to find in Whitby and it was decorated to a very high standard too. The hot tub was an added bonus and the fact we could bring our family dog. The house was very clean and the owner of the accommodation went above and beyond and made us feel very welcomed. I cannot recommend this Trillo House enough! 5 stars!

  • "What a fantastic property!"

We made the mistake of trying to park in the streets either side which resulted in a very tight 3 point turn and reversing down a very tight street with cars on either side. We then realised we could use the scratch card in other areas and parked, after unloading the car, about half a mile away. The property itself was fantastic and very clear with a welcome pack of Prosecco, bread, butter, jam etc, and had all the equipment we required. Make sure to take cooking oils, condiments, herbs etc. The stairs were a little challenging but the rooms were elegant and comfortable. Trillo House made a great base for exploring Whitby! Don’t forget to try the fish and chips!

Lovely little touches of bathrobes for all, toiletries in the bathroom, wireless charging beside clocks and even a birthday balloon and cakes for our arrival. The beds were all so comfy and the kids were in awe at the size of the TV's. There was a hiccup with the hot tub on our first night but a call to the owners and it was sorted within the hour-great response. Trillos house is ideally located for exploring Whitby and the surrounding area and has a lovely mix of an older house with some modern furnishings. Two things which let this big property down are no allocated parking (however saying that we got parked up the street okay) and only one shower room for 8 people. Another suggestion to make the stay easier would be some additional cutlery and some plastic items for use outside-we didn't dare take glass in the hot tub. Would definitely book again, thanks for a lovely stay.

The house is centrally located and the hot tub an added bonus. We had a wonderful hamper on arrival - thank you Edwin and Izzy. There are 2 drawbacks of the house but the positives definitely outweigh these and were manageable. One, the lack of nearby parking. We were provided with passes for 2 cars for on street parking but spaces were hard to find. The other one is there was only one bathroom which for 7 people was frustrating at times, although there are 2 toilets.
