• "I loved our stay at the Woodland view."

  So much so we are going back in a couple of weeks. We walked into the beautiful cottage to some beautiful roses, which were a lovely touch. Everywhere was spotlessly clean & beautiful done. The hot tub area was amazing. I could have stayed in there all night. The Sunrise was out of this world just sitting in our own little garden area with a cup of coffee. I would 100% recommend Woodland View to all my family & friends.

  Was recommended to book by my mum and stepdad, who surprised us when they said there is also a sauna which was a lovely bonus. Very clean and comfortable which made for a wonderful stay. The owner was so helpful and on hand if we needed anything, they provided a handy guide on the Richmond area and best walks in the area as well. Amazing, would always book again!!

  We’ve just stayed in Woodland View for 4 nights and loved it! The owners have paid attention to detail which makes it a fabulous little place to stay. It has everything you need plus the hot tub and sauna (which looks like a mini spa!). Prosecco on arrival, plenty of towels, robes, flip flops, comfy bed and well equipped kitchen.

• "Woodland View is a little gem of a holiday cottage."

  The accommodation is perfect, equipt with everything you could possibly need, beautifully decorated and a really comfy bed. The hot tub and sauna are the icing on the cake, located in a lovely private spot at the side where you can have a soak and chill at the end of the day. We had a lovely relaxing week and have already booked to return next year!

  Perfect location, and top class accommodation. We booked Woodland View for our first ever get away at Christmas and everything was just perfect. The place was tastefully decorated with festive bits for us and lovely little extras. We loved the hot tub and sauna and we were in a perfect spot for walks. Can recommend a visit to The Station.

  Immaculately clean and very tastefully decorated and furnished. Loved the hot tub and lounging chairs in the sheltered/heated area. Location is a great hub for discovering the area and Richmond itself has all the historical interests and walks you could want. Wonderful place for a couple to stay. Out and about, Georgian Theatre Royal tour is definitely worth a visit, fascinating.   The appartment was superb and we appreciated the wine and chocolates. It was clean and well thought out, the weather was really poor so we couldn't go out on walks as we imagined but it was just lovely to stay in nice and cosy and because the hot tub and sauna were under cover we used those lots. We met Angie briefly and she was lovely and was on hand should we have any problems. All in all we thoughrouly enjoyed our stay. We had some nice meals out both at The Station down the road and also in Richmond.

  Absolutely love this place and didn't want to leave. So peaceful but so much to do at the same time If you want to. We did miss waking up to the sound of our cats but the sheep definitely fill in for your pets, loved it. The place is so clean and cosy with everything you could need and they went the extra mile to make it special for our anniversary. The outside area was even better than the last time we came which we didn't think was possible as you are now closed in with glass doors which make it even more perfect on a not so sunny day. Will definitely be coming back next year for our 3rd anniversary! Would highly recommend to anyone.

  That is exactly what we got and lots more! Very modern, very clean, comfortable and well kept in and outside. Garden lovingly well kept and the hot tub area well thought out.   The cottage is very well equipped, a very comfy nights sleep every night wonderful walks into Richmond, Catterick and especially Easby and the ruined abbey. The walk along the disused railway track into Richmond is great. It was my wives birthday and the owner ( who are on hand but not intrusive ) They recommended a French restaurant RUSTIQUE it was fantastic the owner even took us there Thank you. The hot tub and sauna were to die for and so private. Overall a fantastic cottage which we will return to another day.

  Immaculately clean and so well looked after, we couldn’t fault it. Plenty of towels provided and lovely dressing gowns and slippers were an added bonus. We loved everything about the place and didn’t want to leave. The owners have thought of everything and you can tell how well looked after the place is as soon as you pull into the gate.   The decor is modern and fresh, immaculately clean and well resourced. The mini 'spa' area is genius! We had less than perfect weather but the glass enclosure around the hot tub and sauna meant that we were cosy and calm looking out at the rain!! Richmond is a lovely town. Don't forget your parking disc! The pie shop is amazing (dangerously so) also gelato tutti...the canoli, OMG!! Lots of nice shops and cafés. Market book stall is very good too. Recommend The Heifer at Scorton, the food was incredible and lovely people. The Station is very good for breakfast too. We would definitely return for another stay. One of the best, thank you.

  The property is between Catterick and Richmond, which are both walking distance from Woodland View. The property itself is perfect - well maintained, clean, lovely decor and has everything you need for a relaxing break away. The hot tub and sauna are also within your 'own' private space, and are not over looked in anyway. I would recommend Woodland View 100%. This is the second time I have visited and I will definitely be booking to go again.

  We had such a lovely time using the hot tub. The effort put into giving us directions for a local walk and a stunning drive was very much appreciated. The owner was so lovely, she came and introduced herself and always said hi but also wasn't overbearing, she was always there if we needed anything though. • "What an utterly stunning property."

  We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Clean, warm and all facilities were brilliant. The hot tub was checked and treated everyday and we were left to enjoy our privacy throughout our time there. Lovely touches including access to walks, parking disc, dressing gowns and bottle of bubbles/chocolates on arrival. Secluded and beautiful surroundings. Had a drive to Whitby for the day which was around 62 miles away and because we were so close, seemed a shame not to. There were indoor stairs, just like stairs in your house, all rooms were clean, walk in shower and plenty of towels for both hot tub and shower facilities. Private parking on the driveway and the house, drive and surrounding gardens are stunning and well cared for. Thank you so much for our stay, we would definitely return !!

It’s also located in a lovely area, where each day we could chose which direction to head out walking- either heading out across the local fields or an easy stroll into Richmond. • "Woodlands View is the ideal cottage for guests who want to visit the Yorkshire Dales area."

  It is located just outside Richmond which is a lovely olde world town on the edge of Swaledale. Alan & Angie have provided an ideal retreat within 5 minutes drive from the heart of Richmond. The cottage is exceptionally well equipped and comfortable with the bonus of a Hot Tub and Sauna in a well designed area which is undercover but not enclosed. There is an ample private garden for guests which has wonderful views over the local fields and woodland. All the equipment provided by the owner is top quality. I am unable to fault any aspect of this cottage and am planning to return again in the near future.

  Very cosy and very comfortable cottage. All modern commodities provided. Good wifi. Sauna and jacuzzi are nice extra's, didn't use sauna ourselves. Owners are very friendly and helpful but not intrusive. When the temperature went up, sunbeds were provided. That was a lovely gesture. Information about Richmond and surrounding area is provided, such as walks and pubs. Richmond is a 20 minute walk. We had a lovely dinner at The Coachhouse at Middleton, 15 minuten drive.

The apartment is v peaceful even though there is a road nearby.. this did not disturb us at all. Plenty to do in the area.. Swaledale is fabulous for walks, and some great restaurants in Richmond. Very very highly recommended-I’m sure we will return!

• "The property is excellent down to the finest detail."

  Externally the covered patio area containing the hot tub, sauna, outdoor heater and seating is the perfect setting to relax and unwind in complete privacy. The glass canopy allowing you to gaze into the night sky regardless of the weather is one of the many examples of Alan and Angie's attention to detail. This attention to detail carries on through out the apartment which is finished to an extremely high standard. We had a fabulous and relaxing break and would definitely recommend this property (as we already have to several friends) and can't wait for our return visit later in the year. • "Absolutely loved Woodland View, lovely rural setting, extremely comfortable and well equipped."

  Having its own hot tub and sauna under a glass roof was the perfect end to some longer walks up to see the ‘erratics’ in Clapham near Wensleydale, Willances Leap from the cottage. An easy walk via a cycle path near to the cottage in to the historic town centre of Richmond where there are a good choice of pubs and restaurants (Thai, French and Italian were all excellent). A good location to go for a day trip west to Saltburn and Staithes too. Really enjoyed our stay and highly recommend Woodland Viiew.

• "We were looking for a break which could have been taken in most areas of England or Wales."

  We searched for days, making a shortlist, which ended with us choosing this property. Was it the right decision? Absolutely. As soon as we entered we felt at home, with comfy furniture, large television and fresh, clean surroundings. The bed was just right and led to super nights sleep. The property is not overlooked and although on a road and close to a junction, any traffic noise did not disturb us. The hot tub and sauna were real bonuses, completely private and a special place to relax. Although it is possible to walk in to Richmond, there being a footpath, it is a fairly busy road, with fast moving traffic and poorly lit. Instead take the car and use the parking disc provided by the hosts, which gives you two hours free parking. Our hosts even offered us a lift in to town for that special night out. You don't get that offer everywhere you stay! We can't rate this property too highly and can certainly recommend it.

  Excellent property and wonderful owners. Property was furnished and maintained to a high standard with the added bonus of the sauna and the hut tub, both of which we had to try out despite the the wind and chill of storm Arwen. The property is situated only around 10 mins walk from the nearest pub and only around 20-25 mins walk from the centre of Richmond. Nice touches on arrival, Bottle of Prosecco, some chocolates and fresh milk in the fridge to accompany the tea, coffee and biscuit basket. Property would definitely be at the top of the list for another stay if we revisit this area again.

  The accommodation had a sauna and hot tub, which was a lovely extra touch to the accommodation, especially if the weather prevents you from doing other activities. The accommodation was very modern, and had such a homely feel to it, which we loved. The host popped in to say hello on our first day and was lovely, and also offered to drop us off and pick us up for dinner from the nearby town! The host was also able to recommend some lovely local restaurants. The location of Woodland View is perfect for some ‘on the door step’ quick walks with countryside views into Richmond town, which we really enjoyed. Overall, I would highly recommend this accommodation!

• "What can we say about Woodland View apart from WOW!"

  !! As far as holiday lets go, this has been by far the best we have stayed in. To say it's OCD immaculate would be an understatement. The property is amazing! Absolutely everything was catered for for our stay. The owners who live on site have really raised the bar in standards and facilities. The hottub was set at an ambient temperature for our arrival and Alan (owner) would check the ph levels early on a morning. In the cottage we found everything needed for a luxurious stay. We were welcomed with a stocked fridge including bottled water, milk and even Ferroro Rochers! Tea and coffee was also provided. For use of the hottub the owners even provide robes and disposable flip flops. All towels are freshly put out ready for use in either the hottub or the huge walk in shower. In each room you will find enormous TV's. We didnt use them but they look to be of best quality. The bed is king size and soooooo comfortable. It was that good that we snuck in a cheeky siesta! Honestly if you are looking for an amazing property to stay whilst in North Yorkshire then you would be crazy not to book this one. We have already been looking to book to go back next month and then 2 months after that...

  Great hot tub (they provide bathrobes and slippers) and good privacy. Owners next door, responded quickly to texts and positively to the suggestions they asked for. Plenty to do in the area, and we'd certainly go there again. (PS it's so new it doesn't appear on satellite or street view - on the left coming from Catterick opposite two other fairly new properties.)
