! Only 5 minutes walk to the centre of Whitby-would definitely book again.

Handy for us with disabitles and learning problems. Handy for town.

  • "The only problem with this property is the standard of cleaning, the bathroom was in a very poor state with black mold in the grouting and mastic areas."

In some places it was present on the tiles themselves. In other rooms of the property cobwebs and spiders were in the corners of the skirting boards and a general greasy film covered the kitchen area.I realise that to keep rental costs down the cleaner cant spend much time at each property but a deep clean every so often is needed. To finish on a more positive note the property is fine in all other respects

  • "Thoroughly enjoyed our weeks holiday in the apartment."

Everything was as listed. It was very spacious and airy - only little moan really was the bed in the main bedroom was a bit too small - so we moved into the other room. Overall a lovely apartment with quick access to the town and also a major bonus... your own parking space.

  • "Have stayed here before and is our go to when staying in Whitby."

The location is on a quiet street away from the hustle and bustle, but still only a few minutes walk to the centre so ideally placed. It benefits from it’s own secure private car park which is a big bonus for Whitby. The apartment is always clean, spacious and comfortable and has everything you would need even for a longer stay. Both bedrooms are roomy and the only improvement I would make is to replace at least one of the double beds with a king size. Can’t wait to stay again.

  • "Apartment was clean, comfortable and convenient for walking to town."

Loved that the car could be left securely in a designated parking spot behind an electronic gate. Instructions for everything, such as turning hot water on and using washing machine, were clear and easy to find and follow. Only two things we noted, did not in anyway mar our holiday, the first is that we found the electronic gate to be temperamental to open. Am sure it was us but using key fob or push buttons pad it often took quite a few turns to get the gate to work. I wonder if some clear instructions on how to do this might help as I think it might have sensors, so if the car is not in the right place? The second concerns the double bedroom, which has a damp smell as you walk through the bedroom door. Tried to locate where it was coming from but couldn’t find it. Wasn’t a problem as I’m happy to open the window but very noticeable when window is closed, such as when we came back from an outing.

Thank you for your feedback. We will enquire as to whether any other guests within the building using the gate have experienced similar problems. We will pass on your concern about the damp smell to the cleaner to see if she is aware of any issues. No damp was detected last time we checked earlier this year. Thank you once again for staying in our apartment and for your feedback. Property Owner

  • "The property had everything we needed for our stay and is really convenient for the town."

The parking space is an added bonus. The owner was really helpful as we had a couple of requests before our stay. Without being overly crucial the apartment could maybe do with a bit of a deep clean and is just maybe a little tired round the edges. Would happily stay again.

  • "When we first entered the apartment there was an unpleasant foisty smell."

One was coming from a dirty old mop. (Most cleaning firms use different mops for kitchen/living area and toilet/bathroom area, then throw them out and use new heads next time). Sat it in hot water and cleaning liquids and left it outside all week. Second foisty smell was the wardrobe in the small room. Just left the window open all week. Smelled a lot better after a couple of days. Loose floorboards in kitchen area. Other than that it's a good apartment, very convenient for town(4 minute quick walk to railway and bus stations). Secure parking, handy pub right behind.

  • "Comfortable apartment for an enjoyable holiday."

The only comment I would make is that the shower tiles grouting needs some attention. But other than that we had everything we needed during our weeks stay. Would certainly stay again.

Shame the bedding didn’t fit the bed. Bathroom could do with some mould removing.

  • "Wonderful apartment."

Spacious, well appointed, comfortable. The bathroom grouting could do with replacement. It probably isn’t helped by not having a window and relying on extraction only. But again a wonderful base for our holiday and we would definitely use this property again.

  • "Great apartment and location."

The only draw back was the gaps in the wooden flooring in the living room, kitchen and hall way and signs of damp on the walls of the large double bedroom after what looks like it been flooded, lucky enough there was only 2 of use and used the other bedroom. Even with the slight issues we would still recommend and we’ve booked for next year

A spacious apartment kitted out with everything you might need. We were only there for three nights but it was lovely. Slept really well but could have done with a blanket on the bed as the duvet felt very lightweight. Appreciated the biscuits on our arrival too. Will definitely recommend and will definitely be returning.
