• "We were really impressed with the Treasure Chest Appartment."

  It was presented and equipped to a very high standard and it was immaculately clean. In addition it was decorated specially for Halloween which set the scene for a great Whitby experience. The situation is great, in a quiet area but near to everything Whitby has to offer. We had a great week and hope to be back in the future.

• "This property was amazing."

  The owners Mandy and Craig have paid great attention to every detail. On arrival the property was spotless. Every room had interesting and quirky features that we kept discovering. The kitchen had every facility you could want and more. In relation to pet friendly it definitely was. There were extra bowls, leads, ID tags and even poo bags! There were throws for the furniture which meant we could relax if our dog went on the sofa .The welcome treasure chest was lovely and very generous. This is defo the best place we’ve stayed in by far. Hopefully we will get the chance to return and would recommend this home from home to everyone.

• "The cleanliness of this lovely apartment drew us back for a second visit."

  It’s exceptionally well equipped and it has been beautifully maintained. The owners are very helpful and friendly but not intrusive. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this property for all the reasons mentioned above plus the added advantage of private and secure parking and central location.

• "Treasure Chest is a wonderful holiday property."

  It is very well appointed and is deceptively large. The decor is very contemporary but very good. The owners had put up a lot of Olympic flags and red, white and blue balloons which put us into the Olympic spirit. Its location is perfect - so close to Whitby town centre. The gated parking space was also very welcome. We thoroughly enjoyed our week's holiday and will be back in the future.

  We like to trim up for events. So we had just changed the trimmings from the Euros to the Olympics. Next up are Halloween and Xmas. • "The attention to detail was amazing, the kitchen was well equipped to enable us to cook Christmas dinner, also the Christmas decorations were amazing and very much appreciated to make our Christmas stay awesome."

• "A beautifully presented and superbly equipped apartment, even down to providing I."

  D. tags for the dog! Having previously stayed in Whitby we were well aware of parking problems so the secure parking provided was particularly appreciated. The only possible drawback would be for people who have difficulty with stairs as there are 2 flights up to the entrance door and a further flight to the fantastic master bedroom. Overall we enjoyed our stay very much and would definitely come again.

  All the thoughtful touches were appreciated especially the welcome pack. Very clean and modern, kitchen very well equipped. Only complaint the master bed pillows were very uncomfortable. Thanks again

  We are pleased that you enjoyed your stay at Treasure Chest. We are sorry that you found the master bedroom pillows uncomfortable. We appreciate that pillow selection is different for everyone. (Soft/hard/thick/thin). We supply 2 pillows per person on each bed which are different to one another and a 3rd type for each person in the divan drawers. The pillows were replaced in January 2023. We will be having a holiday at Treasure Chest ourselves in a couple of weeks so we will check out all the pillows personally and certainly replace them if required or sort them if they have become mixed up. Thank you for taking the time to leave a review and telling us that we got most things right. We understand it wasn’t perfect for you this time but we appreciate your comments so that we can improve.   Attention to detail from interior design to facilities was amazing. The equipment supplied was outstanding, everything you could ever need from cocktail shaker to picnic sets, to the welcome pack. • "Amazing property."

  Very well equipped. Nicely finished. Literally everything we needed was there. Communication from property owners top notch. Anyone considering staying here... do it! Its such a nice place. Parking a nightmare with more than 1 car. Entry to car park is narrow, tight to enter but once passed the gate its roomy. We stayed for Christmas with our dog and family. There was ample room for 6 of us and the dog. Thanks to Mandy & Craig for a lovely stay.

• "The property owners have gone above and beyond with equipment and furnishings in the apartment."

  Everything was spotlessly clean, automatic lights on when you moved about the apartment, very handy lighting on the stairs. A very generous welcome pack was greatly appreciated, it included milk, tea bags, coffee, biscuits and a bottle of Prosecco, plus a bag of treats for the dog. We met the owners on arrival and they were very informative about the area and very helpful with our one or two questions. Told us to ring anytime with any problems should they occur , a very friendly couple. Parking in the courtyard was a bonus as we were so close to the centre of Whitby, took us about 5 mins to walk into the centre of town and the harbour. Very convenient to be so close to all the amenities. Perfect location if you don’t want to venture far, we only used the car twice in the week to visit elsewhere. Highly recommend this property if you want a hassle free break, lovely and comfortable. The one thing I could say against it is the seagulls, very noisy at this time of the year with their young leaving their nests. But never spoiled it for us, we come from a seaside town ourselves so are used to it.

• "The property was everything you could wish for and I would have no problem recommending it to anyone."

  If we ever stay in Whitby again we would most certainly stay at Treasure Chest again. The owners gave us all the information needed and more. The only thing was they left a note saying we could take a miniature treasure chest home with us which I promised my 5 year old grandson but unfortunately there wasn’t one.

  We are pleased to read that Treasure Chest Whitby was everything that you had wished for. Avast! Our sincere apologies to your Mini Matey (Grandson); There should indeed have been a miniature Treasure Chest in your Welcome Pack, as a memento of your voyage. Shiver me Timbers! • "Treasure Chest is a real Gem…."

  We have just returned from 2 weeks staying at The Treasure Chest. From start to finish Mandy and Craig are thoughtful & caring hosts. The apartment was very clean & spacious with everything you need for home from home luxury and much much more. Perfectly decorated for Christmas, but not over the top. Welcome Chest was brilliant. As we were staying for 2 weeks we were given an Enhanced Welcome Chest with extra bits, which was amazing. The bed was very comfortable. Love the design, layout and decor of the apartment. The owners have thought of everything and more. Thankyou for allowing us to stay at this wonderful apartment. Our dog thoroughly enjoyed his daily walks along the beach. And I enjoyed the Fish & Chips. I would definitely recommend this apartment to friends and family. We would definitely return.

• "We had such a wonderful stay at Treasure Chest."

  The property was beautifully decorated, extremely clean and had literally everything you could think of! All amenities and furnishings were of a really high quality and we all slept so well (even our little 20 month old). The apartment itself was huge, so please don’t be put off that it isn’t a house. Everything was so well organised and communication was great, from start to finish. The owners were so lovely and helpful, even posting back to me an item of clothing I accidentally left behind. I would highly recommend treasure chest to either couples or families; the location is absolutely superb. I’ve never been to the Whitby area before but we have been telling all our family and friends how special treasure chest is. We made memories that will last a lifetime and will definitely return.

• "Upon arrival, Mr Dutton the owner of Treasure Chest (a very pleasant man) met us in the Car Park at the back of the apartment building and gave us the ins and outs of how the electronic gate worked and the key lock mechanism."

  The three bedroom apartment was everything as advertised and more. Everything that we thought we would need and brought with us was already provided, the welcome pack of goodies was excellent and the instruction booklet regarding every piece of equipment in the apartment was easy to understand. Beds were comfortable and rooms airy with plenty of wardrobe space, en-suite and bathroom are a delight and living room and kitchen areas are superb. We had five adults staying and two dogs and the apartment had plenty of space for everyone. The Apartment is situated in a great location, only a seven minute walk to the train station which is adjacent to the town centre, which obviously for Whitby has plenty of Fish and Chip shops, restaurants and Public Bars. We walked everywhere and did not need the vehicles until vacating the apartment. It has been over forty years since i last went to Whitby, we as a family group had a fantastic time, the weather stayed fine for the week and would highly recommend Treasure Chest to everyone and have already done so.

• "Excellent in all aspects, prior to the holiday the owners made sure that everything was in place to meet our requirements."

  The location is ideal, the property is maintained to a high standard, very comfortable, well equipped and extremely secure. The welcome 'Treasure Chest' gifts was appreciated by all including the dog. When we did contact the owners during our stay they immediately responded. Local knowledge is essential if taking more than one car, spaces do become available on the roads around the property but they are quickly snapped up (we managed to get a space outside the property for our second car). • "The Treasure Chest is aptly named as everywhere you look there is beautiful art, objects and no cost has been spared to make it a luxurious space."

  The kitchen is very well stocked with everything in terms of pots and pans - even a pan big enough to make paella and a full spice rack. Try out the local butcher and fishmonger in town for delicious meals. There is a little balcony two of you can sit out on which was nice. Its a 5 minute walk into the town centre and having your own parking spot is brilliant in Whitby. Its one of the best kitchen's Ive had as someone who loves to cook and with the COVID we did spend more time eating in than usual. The beds were very comfortable and its a spacious apartment.
