• "This was our 3rd stay at Valley View, we love it here."

  Great location in a quiet setting but within a short walk of all that Whitby has to offer. The welcome pack is appreciated as was the bottle of Prosecco. The property is well maintained and clean. Unfortunately on this visit there was a problem with the heating. The owner was easy to contact and the problem was resolved later the same day. We hope to visit again next year.

• "Excellent property and very clean."

  Only things we would have liked was somewhere to hang towels in bathroom, and an oven glove. There was also no recycling facility at the flats although I understand this is a result of past abuses - and nowhere locally to recycle. However will definitely return.

• "A beautiful apartment, which is spotless and quiet."

  The parking and location are great. The only downside for us (which is obviously an individual thing) is that we found the mattresses and the sofa really uncomfortable.

• "We really enjoyed our stay at Valley View."

  The apartment was clean and provided with fresh towels. The apartment felt very homely and it was very modern and up to date. Where the apartment is situated is a good location not in the centre of Whitby but not too far to walk into the centre. It was good to have parking right outside, as some of the properties we were looking at, you had to pay extra for parking. We would definitely recommend this apartment and we really enjoyed our stay. • "Excellent. Spotlessly clean on arrival."

  All facilities as advertised, with lovely touches (milk and biscuits on arrival, small extras like a clothes airer that make a big difference). Location was perfect for us: easy access to the Cinder Track (parkrun start 5 mins away, town 20 mins walk), and straightforward allocated parking making it an easy base to explore the area.

• "Fantastic apartment with views to the moors."

  Exceptionally clean, spacious, well equipped & comfortable. Ideal car parking space close to rear entrance. Ideally located for walking into Whitby - providing you are reasonably fit as main road back to the property is a long hill/incline. However, the property is on a bus route (not used by us on this visit). Will certainly be using this apartment again on our next visit. Highly recommended 5*

• "This was our second visit to Valley View."

  Great quiet location, with a designated parking spot. A few minutes away from the cinder track and a short walk into Whitby. The welcome pack was much appreciated. The owner has great attention to detail. The kitchen is fully equipped, and the apartment is comfortable and tastefully decorated. We highly recommend Valley View and hope to be back in the future.

• "A quiet and beautifully spotless apartment with everything we needed."

  Well kitted out kitchen, I cooked breakfast and evening meals in here. (An oven glove would be a welcome addition though although everything else was provided ) Comfy furnishings and enough space for 2 adults and 2 children (10 and 13) Sun-Fri. A welcoming folder with tourist info, walks etc and tea, coffee, milk and biscuits were much appreciated. A lot of care and thought into this property is evident. Recycling rubbish cannot be done at this property but as the owner explained, this is due to people not bothering to separate their waste so the council have taken away the service. It is very central with a short walk into Whitby with nearby access to bus stops. We didn’t use the car at all once there but very pleased to find accommodation with its own parking space. Would 100% recommend this property it was everything we wanted and more for our half term break. Thank you!

• "Our fifth time visiting Whitby and certainly the best accommodation by far."

  Wonderfully clean, beautifully appointed and close to local amenities. The delicious biscuits were certainly a plus as was the dedicated parking space. The only downside was that a king size bed would be preferable to the double. Otherwise, the apartment was perfect and we very much look forward to coming back.

• "Great location for a Whitby stay; only a 10 minute walk into town and a designated parking space."

  The apartment was very clean and comfortable. Lots of extras provided including dishwasher tablets, soap etc. A pint of milk was waiting in the fridge and there were some biscuits, tea and coffee. If we stayed in Whitby again we would definitely choose Valley View.

• "This was a fantastic place to stay - modern, clean and comfortable, away from the busyness of town yet only a short walk in."

  Wonderful to be overlooking a green area too. Would definitely stay again! Note that the information sent re the address was slightly confusing as there are two identical blocks next to each other. • "Beautiful quiet apartment overlooking fields from the lounge and double bedroom."

  The apartment was spotlessly clean throughout, and had all that you needed-except a hairdryer! A rail or hook for towels in the bathroom would have been useful. A 20/30 minute walk into Whitby was great as we didn’t need to take the car. Would stay here again.

• "Wonderful week's stay in this beautiful apartment."

  If I could give a 6 star rating I would! The cleanliness was second to none, everything being spotlessly clean and fresh. The extra touches in the "welcome pack", biscuits, milk in the fridge, tea and coffee, even dishwasher and washing machine tabs was most welcome and well thought out. Location is brilliant, just out of the busy town with a 10 min walk and a designated parking spot. Nothing else needed for an amazing break. The only suggestion I would make, would be to provide hanging facilities for towels in the bathroom.

  Has everything you need and is in a really good location - only a 15/20 minute walk into town down the Cinder Track and through Pannet Park. It also has good parking, which can be tricky to find in Whitby, so we really appreciated having this. Would highly recommend for a stay in Whitby.

• "A lovely modern apartment."

  Very clean, well equipped and smells great! Some nice touches like hand wash, washing up liquid, dish washer tablets, washing tablets, bin bags, toilet cleaner and the milk in the fridge when we got there was much appreciated! 10-15 minutes walk into Whitby centre (depending on how fast you walk) and it's great to have your own parking space. Will definitely stay again!

• "Ideally situated,on a very quiet housing complex."

• "Fabulous stay, the property was clean and well presented and catered to all of our needs."

  There was even salt, pepper, tin foil, to name a few extras which I usually have to nip out and get. The owner has created a wonderful folder which really helped us to plan our trip. Lovely walk down into Whitby, which we did a few times and right next to the cinder track across the viaduct. Amazing stay, would really recommend it.

• "Wonderful property in a quiet location."

  Allocated off road car parking which is a bonus in Whitby. A 10 minute walk along the cinder track brought us into the centre of Whitby. The kitchen was very well equipped including a full size freezer. However the carpet runner in the hallway is curling at the edges and is a trip hazard when walking from the kitchen to the living room especially whilst carrying hot drinks and food. That said we would certainly book this property again.

• "We recently stayed in Valley View, a beautiful, stylish, airy, well equipped apartment."

  It is equipped with everything you could possibly need in a holiday apartment. It has a very pleasant outlook and is only 10 - 15 minutes walk into town. The owner was very kind, helpful and accommodating. If ever we have reason to visit Whitby again we would definitely rent this property. • "Lovely accommodation with excellent facilities, located just out of town."

  Very clean and well furnished. The owner had thought of everything apart from a hair drier. Parking spot was a real bonus and walking into town via the lovely cinder track was very convenient. Sandra, the owner was very helpful with our queries and it was a nice touch leaving milk, biscuits, tea and coffee for when we arrived. • "Excellent apartment, it was spotlessly clean, one of the cleanest we have stayed in."

  The apartment had everything you needed, including plenty of pans to cook with which sometimes can be missing. Good sized bedrooms, wardrobes, and beds were comfortable. I think the map on the website is slightly out as the property wasn't where the map indicates. Not a major issue but worth having this checked. The apartment is a little further out of the town but this meant it was quiet. We had a great stay here.

• "Good accommodation, has pretty much everything you need and is nicely decorated."

  We would definitely come back if we were in Whitby for a short break. Good location, could walk into town and the Cinder tracks are useful for exploring the area. Our only problem was the shower - we could not get it down to a temperature where we could actually get into it. Even at its coolest option, it was still too hot for me - at its ‘normal’ level (what it said was 38), it actually felt like boiling water! Not sure whether that was just a one-off but, as we had a 6 year old with us, that felt a bit dangerous.

  Thank you for your feedback, I can only apologise for the problem encountered with the shower, hopefully this is a one off incident as this has never been brought to my attention by other guests, obviously this is of great concern as the safety of my guests is paramount. On checking the temperature of the shower no obvious problems noted, however on checking the boiler all the settings were at max which would impact the shower temperature, these have now been adjusted, this should hopefully avoid any further problems, once again sincere apologies.   All immaculately presented and perfectly clean. Depending on how fit you are as to whether the location is walkable to Whitby front. With two small children we didn’t try it but only 5 mins in car. Would definitely recommend and would stay again if heading to the area.
