• "Everything was lovely clean and tidy in the flat with the only downside for us being that of having a dishwasher rather than a washing machine."

  The complex was quiet and we hardly knew that we had neighbours whilst there. The owner was very helpful and met us at the flat to ensue that we knew where everything was. The homemade scones were appreciated as were the little paper flowers on the towels. The views onto the Esk were lovely and we enjoyed checking the tide and watching the birds. The herons were a particular treat. The walk into Whitby was enjoyable and we were very lucky with the weather so could admire the view each time. As a slower walker it took me around 20 to 30 mins to walk it dependent on whether it was up or down but I do have an Achilles tendon issue. In the rain I imagine that would be a tougher walk if you have any walking difficulties. From Whitby trains and buses were available to go to a lot of the places you might wish to visit and we left the car almost untouched over the fortnight. There is a good range of food on offer in the town and although a very busy place we managed to find a spot every time we ate out. There is also a Sainsbury’s and Aldi a short drive from the flat so it’s easy to stock up and cook. Overall a very scenic, enjoyable and comfortable holiday.

  The location was ideal for us being so near the centre of Whitby. The owner Electra was a lovely lady, I left behind something large and heavy, she carefully packaged it and arranged delivery, it was despatched back to me in a matter of days, thankyou Electra.

• "It was nice to see the owner Mrs Robinson."

  She could explain in person how the heating worked and where to empty the bins etc. I had forgotten to take clingfilm and toilet rolls but luckily these were available.

  It was ideally situated within easy walking distance of the town and neighbouring countryside. Good bus and train links to this area of Yorkshire. Very well equipped, clean and an attentive host. We highly recommend this property and plan to return next time we are holidaying in that area.

• "A lovely third floor apartment with harbour and river views."

  A lift and allocated parking make staying here comfortable. It is very well equipped for self catering with some good quality things to use. It is a short walk along the harbour side into Whitby centre. We were met by the owner, Electra, who is a very welcoming host and made us feel we felt we were staying as her friends. Thoroughly recommend this property and we will be returning.

• "We were greeted warmly by Electra who was a lovely lady , she showed us round the property and told us to let her know if there was anything we needed that may be missing , the apartment was lovely & warm & clean , there were dvds and books to read if you so wished , it was nice to look out on to the water and see the tide going in & out everyday & also watch the trains , the other great thing our own private parking space ."

  Lift access and parking space extremely beneficial. Two items we’d chant: Beds were a bit hard and need more comfort dinning table chairs. But everything else was great: settee comfortable, great view from living room, kitchen well equipped and bathroom fantastic. We’re tall people and my mum has mobility issues so huge walk in shower was great; superb water pressure too.

  We did not think the dishwasher was a necessary fitment even if occupancy had been 4 and one of the opening windows could not be locked closed wind kept blowing it open temporarily fixed by myself the door on the fridge ice box did not shut properly and was icing up in fairness the owner pointedly this out to us and needed to be replaced under warranty

  Thank you for you comments which are very valuable for us to keep on top of things The Windows are main buildings problem which we are all suffering with due to the fact that when the site was built the developers used a foreign supplier so replacements are a huge problem My fault for not mentioning that too. • "The only thing that the person who serviced this property failed to do was change the duvet from summer tog to winter tog ."

  We had to use another duvet from one of the bed in the second bedroom as a top up. We reported that the hair dryer was broken and the owner replaced it within hours , which was very much appreciated . Very satisfied with this property .

• "Spacious two bedroom top floor apartment with commanding views over the river Esk and into Whitby."

  Convenient Parking space. Located within easy reach of the town (10-12 mins walk), it served as a great base for exploring and quiet haven for relaxing. Welcoming owner provided some treats in a welcome pack. We would rent this property again if in Whitby.

  The owner met us on arrival to show us round the flat which made a pleasant change to the usual key safe on the wall. The added bonus of an allocated parking space is brilliant as parking in Whitby is at a premium. All in all a great holiday, we would definitely choose this apartment again.

  The apartment was well stocked to a high standard with everything you could want. Good position for walking into Whitby, about a 15 min gentle stroll to the swing bridge in the middle and all the restaurants, but you are away from all the bustle and noise. Great position to watch the steam train each day, about 4.30 it stops straight opposite the lounge window with whistle blowing and plenty of steam, a highlight. Would certainly recommend this property to anyone thinking of visiting Whitby

• "On arrival apartment cold as there was no heating on."

  No hot water for 24 hours as immersion heater only switched on at night on economy 7. Welcome pack very poor (when compared to previous visitors) small carton of milk tea coffee sachets mini pot of jam and 2 packets of biscuits which were past use by date. Duvet on double bed was not big or warm enough. Overall apartment ok but wouldn't book again if returned to Whitby.

  Thank you for your feedback. We apologise with the oversight on the heating, the owner was in hospital and this was an oversight by the lady looking after the property on her behalf. Should any contact of been made this would have been remedied as soon as possible. With regards to the welcome pack, the owner normally leaves a personal touch but for the above reasons was unable to on this occasion. With relation to the duvet this will be looked in to on whether any changes are needed. Kind regards Property Owner

  We were met on arrival by the owner who showed us how everything worked in the apartment(very handy) She went out of her way to make sure everything was to our satisfaction She asked whether we needed additional keys (we did as there were 2 couples) and we were given them Without being asked she had a litre bottle of milk in the fridge and homemade scones with jam and butter waiting for us Lovely bathroom,well the whole apartment was In a quiet location only a 10 minute walk from the centre of Whitby If we come to Whitby again no hesitation in using this again

  Loved looking out on the river and watching the steam train going by. The apartment was very comfortable and had everything need for our break. Just a short stroll along the river and you were in the town with plenty to do and stunning views.   The apartment is well equipped, quite modern & has a lovely view over the estuary, we never tired of watching the tide ebb & flow and the steam train entering & leaving the station. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this apartment.

  Such a pleasant week, made all the better by having this comfortable, clean and tastefully furnished apartment to come home to each day. It was an easy, flat walk into town from Whitehall Landing, which we enjoyed each day. The buses to Middlesbrough and Scarborough ran regularly and it was a great trip through the Yorkshire moors. Goathland is a definite must for Heartbeat fans and Guisborough is well worth a visit. Thank you Electra for your warm welcome.....we would love to come back!
