Very spacious with 6 foot very comfortable beds, great bath, very clean, parking outside door. Only negative was lighting in kitchen as no under cupboard lights so you tended to shadow worksurfaces.

  • "Very disappointed with the lack of furniture as it wasn't a 'cozy' cottage as expected."

Not a 2 bathroom cottage but 1 full bathroom and a shower-room, we were expecting 2 fully functioning bathrooms. The cottage was very echoy and the apartment above the bedrooms were noisy. There was no outside seating (as mentioned) which was a shame. It was good for a base but not a cosy cottage as we thought

Hello Della, It was lovely to meet you both during your stay with us. I am sorry that you felt it was not a 'cozy cottage' and it is somewhat disappointing to read this review as we strive to ensure it meets our guests expectations. We have had some wonderful reviews for The Cottage and it is hugely popular with guests returning to stay with us frequently. On receipt of this review we have had a look at all the images on line and they are a 100% accurate, showing all the rooms and furnishings as is. Had you mentioned these observations to us during your stay we could have addressed some of them. Thank you for taking the time to review The Cottage. Property Owner

As a base for enjoying the North Yorkshire Moors and the "Dales" it is ideal. As part of Rudby Hall, a 19th century building with true historic past, it offered me a quiet location with quality furnishings and all the essentials that I could need. Arrival was a joy with no complications and likewise departure when I handed the property back. Your hosts have taken exceptional measures to provide a delightful property.

  • "The Cottage was spacious and comfortable and set in a quiet location."

The owners were welcoming and were available to answer any questions throughout the stay. There was a welcome basket of goodies to start us off. I have to mention that there is no wc and sink in the wet room as per listed description. This did not detract from our enjoyment.
