It is well-equipped and the quiet location is relaxing, while being within easy reach of The Black Isle, Inverness, Loch Ness, and surrounding areas. The owners are very helpful, which makes the whole place even more welcoming. We highly recommend the cottage for a peaceful getaway.

The owner was also really nice; he invited us to help ourselves to the plums and apples in the garden - delicious. When the kettle packed in, he provided a replacement in an hour. Great service. The only drawback was the lack of high power chargers in the area for my electric car. Twice I had to drive into Inverness to charge up.

  • "This property has a superb location and was exactly as described."

The outside of the property gave no indication of the quality inside which was excellent. The farmer on site ( Tom) was easy to get along with and nothing was too much trouble. We had a few issues with the heating system (including the non working shower in one of the bedrooms ) which required a plumber to investigate and sort out for us which was satisfactorily resolved quickly. Some points of constructive comment follow. 1. There is no mirror in the twin bed room upstairs - this would have been nice especially as this room had no en-suite and the bathroom was on the other side of the landing. 2. Two of the ventilation fans in the en - suites ( downstairs bedroom and upstairs double room) were not working. 3. The range oven clearly had a thermostat problem as whatever temperature it was set at for the main oven, it was recording 40degrees below - we tested a range of temperatures from 100 degrees to 230 degrees and found this to be the case. Cooking chicken in this oven would have been a no no. 4. The statement on the booking site that electric vehicles cannot be charged on site needs to be altered. It should, in my opinion, read “the electricity charges for the house rental do not include those for EV charging. The costs for this will require to be paid in addition.” EV’s can be charged by mains cable obviously ( albeit slowly) overnight but perhaps with the ever increasing use of EVs, the house needs to be brought up to date. 5. An outside tap and hose would have been nice for car washing as the long main drive to the house is extremely dusty in dry weather and for owners who prefer to keep their cars clean, this would have been a welcome addition to the facilities. We did have an excellent stay in this house albeit with a few issues and if what I have mentioned above got looked at and sorted, I would have awarded 5 stars.

  • "We had a great stay at Easter Urray."

The house is fantastic, with plenty of spaces to have the whole group together; it was comfy and clean too. We were surprised by how well-equipped the kitchen was (everything from a Magimix to soup cauldrons and coffee machines), and there was plenty of space in the fridge (and boot room) for all our food. The underfloor heating was wonderful so we didn't need the stoves at all, even though it was below freezing outside, and there was plenty hot water. I'd love to go back!

It was great to have en-suite shower rooms for the 3 adult bedrooms and shared bathroom and downstairs toilet were useful as well. The kitchen was very well equipped with a large larder cupboard containing everything we needed and more. Quiet setting surrounded by countryside.

So much room, an en-suite in 3 of the bedrooms was huge for us. The extra spaces in the house allowed all of us to do different things at the same time, not be on top of each other…the outdoors was beautiful, it was fun to have wildlife and farm animals in the surroundings as part of our family adventure. The fabulous Chess board was a bonus! Tom was friendly and very reasonable. You have a beautiful country home, thanks for sharing.

It is adjacent to a farm and the owner was very welcoming. He had left wine and a selection of cheese milk and crackers in the house. His delightful twin sons showed me and my grandchildren round the farm and they got to bottle feed a pet lamb which was a great experience for them. Lots to do in the area as close to Inverness. Some of the group climber a nearby Munro, we did a boat trip on Loch Ness and visited Dromarty. We will definitely consider returning.

The farmhouse is situated in its own ground within a busy working farm however the work is not obtrusive and in fact adds to the overall experience. Nearby are many forest walks and other attractions and with easy access to shopping quality local produce is assured. The farmhouse is well maintained and kitted out. With such a large kitchen dining area it’s superb for a large family gathering and proved to be our favourite space. Our sincere thanks to Tom and Donna for the welcome pack and, despite being incredibly busy with the lambing season, for looking after us in such a friendly manner throughout our stay.

  • "My family and I booked this property to celebrate a 30th birthday of a family friend, we live only 20 minutes away and needed to be nearby as we all have animals that need daily attention, so we had a “stacation”."

Easter Urray was everything we had hoped for and more, as a very keen cook the kitchen and the larder were very well equipped and once I got the hang of the gas hob we got on fine, the enormous utility room was great for the dog and all our outdoor things. The kitchen was ideal for cosy family suppers and for our more formal dinners the dining room was perfect. One of our guests summed it up perfectly “grand but cosy”. The house was so warm on arrival that we had to turn the underfloor heating down as the weather was mild, loved the wood burning stoves, we all live in the country but found it very peaceful and great for all ages. I loved it so much, that I really did not want to leave, I have hired many properties over the years and have to say that this was most definitely my favourite and we will be back, the owner was helpful and met us on arrival, we knew if we needed anything he was there but he respected our privacy which was appreciated. A ***** property.

The house is amazing, the pictures really don't do it justice. The property exceeded our expectations, 10 of us stayed and there was still plenty of room. Its setting is amazing, located near plenty of beautiful walks, and the town is only 2 minutes away in car if you really need it. Tom the owner was really helpful, on hand if you needed anything at all, but left you be if you didn't. If we had one gripe it would be that one of the sofa's in the lounge has had its day, but that is literally the only issue we had, and believe me it's a tiny issue. Will definitely be returning!

The property sits in its own large garden and is surrounded by fields on three sides. Cows, sheep, a Bull and occasional visits from Pheasants. It sits next to a workign farm (cattle/timber) but you would hardly know its there. Its peacful with lovely walks in mature woodland just a few minutes drive away. Beaches and small villages within easy driving distance (strongly recommend Portmahaven, Rosemarkie and Cromarty) and Beauley which has some nice local shops. Tom the owner is really welcoming. Will definately return.

  • "The house is accessed via a long track, which is potholed."

The accommodation is very well set out and having three double bedrooms with good on suite bathrooms is excellent, but in my opinion two of the mattresses are in need of replacement. The sitting rooms are an ideal size, but furniture is uncomfortable and probably two years past the date when it should have been replaced. The house was not dirty, but not cleaned to a very high standard. There was a slice of toast under one of the settees and a dogs ball under one of the beds. We realised that dogs were allowed in the house, but disappointed with the number of dogs hairs on the settees. The kitchen is a great size and is well equipped, but the cooker could do with a deep clean. We could not find any instructions for any of the equipment. We had hoped that during our two week stay that there might have been an offer of clean towels and bedding at the end of the first week, but this did not happen.
