  • "We thoroughly enjoyed our week in Little Danescroft."

The accommodation was clean, comfortable, well equipped and we soon felt completely at home. We managed a mix of sightseeing and relaxation which was perfect for us. The scenery in the area is breathtaking, couldn’t get enough of it. Our hosts Helen and Paul were very accommodating, though left us to get on with things unless we asked them something. A great break which we would certainly recommend.

Very well equipped. Everything was as or exceeded the description. This is a lovely property elevated well above the road, close to Corpach station and bus route into Fort William and about 10 minutes walk from Great Glen Way. There are superb views of Ben Nevis and Loch Linnhe from the living room and outside patio. We spent a very happy week here without a car. Many thanks to Helen and Paul.

It is very close to Fort William and perfect for touring the Highlands. The railway station at Corpach is just a few minutes walk for the scenic train ride to Mallaigh. Helen is a wonderful host, so friendly and helpful. We felt quite sad to be leaving and would certainly recommend.

  • "Little Danescroft is situated in the perfect spot, and Helen is a lovely host!"

The cottage itself is well equipped with everything you might need for your stay. It's warm, cosy and has the most spectacular views of Ben Nevis and Fort William. On a sunny morning there is no better place to have your coffee than on the lovely little patio! The cottage sits on a steep, sloping driveway which makes parking a little awkward. I also have a very slight mobility issue so found walking up and down the drive difficult. The television requires upgrading, we couldn't watch any of the ITV channels, and BBC is limited too. These few issues aside, we had a lovely week in Corpach, its a beautiful area to visit!

Thank you Helen and Paul - welcoming, helpful and full of advice before and during our stay. Fantastic facilities and little touches of wine, snacks and fresh flowers. Useful maps and welcome pack and even let us borrow walking poles! Amazing views and great location to drive/train/bus to so many places to visit/walk/take in the endless views. We were so lucky with the great weather but it would have been just as good in the rain! Well worth the long journey, we hope to visit again. Thank you.

  • "When we booked the property the photographs were not the same as are now presented."

The write up says the accommodation is semi detached and adjoining the owners property. In reality the accommodation is part of the owners house and there are owners rooms above the accommodation used by us. Movement above could be heard. There is a locked door into the rest of the house from the holiday accommodation and the owners landline telephone can be clearly heard. The phone rang late at night waking us up. The heating temperature and time is controlled by the owners.

We are sorry that you feel the property has been misrepresented. This is of the upmost importance to us at Sykes and we are currently working to ensure we provide a clear and concise description for all future guests.
