  • "Simply outstanding."

From the safe car parking area next to your cottage, to the enclosed large communal garden to the idyllic location of the cottages - this has it is all. The cottage itself (Birch) was very clean, comfortable and well stocked with everything you’d need. The smart tv allows Netflix and Prime log ons, which you can then view from the comfortable couch after a day’s walking in the hills. Beds are superb and are clearly very expensive and luxurious leading to a superb night’s sleep. The owners Adam and Leanne are on hand should you need any advice or guidance on the area or your cottage. The whole set up and organisation when you’re there is one of a “safe space” and very comfortable. The location allows travel and visits to lots in the Cairngorms and is a super base. Thoroughly recommended.

Thank you very much for taking the time to leave us such a positive review. It was lovely welcoming you all here and we are so pleased you enjoyed your stay and Birch Cottage so much. Thank you for leaving the book, Spencerville, behind for other guests to enjoy. We look forward to hopefully welcoming you all back in the future. Kind regards, Adam & Leanne Property Owner

  • "This is our 2nd time to the property and we hope to come back again."

We've loved our stay. Everything perfect apart from shower power! But it didn't spoil or put us off returning x

Thank you for taking the time to leave us feedback. Glad to hear that you loved your stay. As our water supply comes from a natural spring, into our water treatment system and then to the cottages, we do sometimes have a variation in the water pressure. We look forward to welcoming you back in the future. Kind regards, Adam & Leanne Property Owner

  • "Loved the cottage - very clean, modern decor, not cluttered (space to actually put your own stuff somewhere), comfortable soft furnishings, well equipped kitchen, table to eat from, great enclosed space for dogs, nice patio area to enjoy in warmer weather, great inside porch area to put boots, coats etc."

.. Loved the personal touches by the owners (also very approachable if help needed with anything) - for both humans and dogs. Loved the surroundings - great for doing walks from the doorstep as well as a super location to explore this most beautiful area by car. The list could go on but in essence a place good for the soul and definitely one of the best cottages we've stayed in. Thank you! Genuinely hoping to be coming back here sometime.

Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us such a brilliant review. It was lovely meeting you both and we are so pleased you enjoyed your stay here. We look forward to hopefully welcoming you back sometime. Kind regards, Adam & Leanne Property Owner

  • "One of the loveliest cottages we have stayed."

The views from the cottage is stunning. The cottage is very cosy. The bedroom was quite spacious and the bed and the bedding is very comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed. Owners even provided shower gel, shampoo and conditioner from the lovely Scottish company. They even gave us small welcome pack that included biscuits, jams, coffee, tea bags and sugar. They even included nice treats for our dog. We are thinly to go back again in October.

Thank you for taking the time to leave us feedback. We are pleased you found the bed comfortable and cozy. Apologies regarding the toilet seat, we were unaware there was a problem, we are on-site so if we had known we would have come to the cottage and straightened it for you. • "Birch is a beautiful and well-equipped cottage in a perfect rural location for exploring the Cairngorms."

Adam and Leanne were great hosts who were friendly when we saw them but didn't intrude, and we're very helpful when we had questions. It was lovely to sit in front of the fire on a chilly/rainy evening and the bed was super comfortable. Our only suggestion would be to provide more/bigger blankets to make it even cosier. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely recommend it and stay there again!
