  • "Although the apartment was in a brilliant area, the apartment could have been better."

The showers were inadequate as the hot water wasn't very good. Under the shower screen was very dirty. Broken door shelf in fridge. Floors were very squeaky and the windows were very hard to close. When we were leaving , we had no instructions about bedding or towels. Got in touch with caretaker, but no reply.

Many thanks for taking the time to give your feedback. I'm sorry to hear you encountered a few issues. I will ask the cleaning/management team to look into these, and also to adjust the hot water settings. Please be assured that there was nothing to be done on leaving the flat, just returning the key and everything else is taken care of. Property Owner

  • "A warm and cosy quiet flat with views over the River Ness from the living room and kitchen windows."

We even saw otters playing in the river. Only a short walk by the river into the centre of Inverness which has plenty of restaurants and shops. Also lovely walks along the river path to Ness islands. We had a problem with a kitchen drawer not opening but after connecting the owner it was mended the next morning. We were lucky with sunny weather all week and would be happy to return to this flat.

Thanks so much for your feedback. I'm glad you enjoyed your time in Inverness and hope we can welcome you back to the Highlands. Property Owner

  • "A lovely flat, beautifully positioned right by the river."

Good location for travel in all directions and a very short walk to town centre. Comfy, warm and well stocked. Up 2 flights of stairs, which is not a problem if you can manage them or have a fit person in your group to carry the bags! A most enjoyable stay and I would be happy to use this property again.

Many thanks indeed for your feedback. I'm so pleased you enjoyed staying at the flat, and had a lovely visit to Inverness. I hope we can welcome you again. Property Owner

  • "Flat was very basic The furnishings and linens were poor quality and well used."

The flat was tidy but needed a deep clean ( the bath had a dark ring around it and the kitchen sink was stained ) The washer drier didn't work so we had to buy extra clothes which was a nuisance. There was no welcome pack nor instructions for appliances It's listed for rent at an average price of £118 pn but I can't find any dates at that price ! All in all we were dissatisfied with our stay especially with the hefty pricetag.

I am so sorry to hear this and thank you for writing. As communicated to you, unfortunately the delivery of a new washing machine was cancelled at short notice. The machine in the flat did still work and I explained how to do this, as well as asking to be contacted if there were problems. Welcome information is emailed and there is a folder with all appliance instructions in the lounge. I have asked the management team to inspect the property and linen to advise what might need replacing. Many thanks again for your feedback. Property Owner

  • "Only a ten minute walk to the city centre with a great view of the river."

Was comfortable and clean enough but the heating and tumble drier didn't work so we struggled to get towels etc dry

Thanks for your message Helen. I'm sorry you didn't manage to get the heating to work. The changeover team have checked everything and all is in working order. Seems the thermostat just needed to be changed from zero. I do hope your time in Inverness was enjoyable otherwise. Property Owner

  • "Key was in key safe as advised."

On entering the apartment we were amazed at the size and the cleanliness. Clean carpets and furnishings. Clean walls etc. Comfortable beds and chairs. Could not have been any better. The view of the river Ness and snow on the mountains in the distance was a bonus. Everything we could have asked for was in the Kitchen, although the only thing we did was make coffee. Inverness was the perfect place to stay and visit surrounding places in Scotland

About the location

INVERNESS

North Kessock 5.9 miles; Dores 9.2 miles; Tomatin 15.5 miles.

The Capital of the Highlands, the city of Inverness, is the gateway to the countless delights of the Highlands of Scotland. Towering mountains, dark lochs, great forests and precipitous sea cliffs are all within easy reach. Of particular note is the legendary Loch Ness, which is surrounded by some truly breathtaking scenery, although most visitors are usually on the lookout for something a bit more mysterious! Just outside the city is the Culloden Battlefield at Culloden Moor (National Trust). The site of the last major battle fought on British soil, there is an award-winning display depicting the battle, whilst a walk on the field serves as a poignant reminder of the clansmen who lost their lives. Inverness itself has much to offer, museums, an art gallery, fine theatre and leisure facilities, not to mention shops, pubs and restaurants. The River Ness flows through the city and both the river and neighbouring Moray Firth are home to a diverse range of wildlife and marine life including red kites, along with dolphins, which can sometimes be seen from the shore, or on trips from the harbour.
