  • "Burnside Lodge is very comfortable and is in an ideal location for exploring the fabulous scenery around Fort William."

The lodge is super clean, really well equipped and full of homely touches. The sauna was a bonus too. We loved the patio area with a peaceful view over the stream. Lynore lives next door and was very welcoming and on hand if needed. We absolutely loved our stay.

  • "Absolutely fantastic place to stay."

Very well equipped and so clean. Location is superb, quiet and private, yet a 5 minute drive to local shops. Perfect place to enjoy the area and 10 minutes away from the tourist path of Ben Nevis. This is a gem of a place to stay of the highest standard.

  • "Burnside lodge was the best holiday let we have ever stayed in."

The facilities were excellent, the lodge was beautiful, clean and extremely well equipped, and the location was perfect. Our host was absolutely fantastic. Could not have asked for more, would return just to stay here, just brilliant!

  • "We couldn’t have asked for more, thank you!"

Burnside Lodge is beautifully clean, very comfortable, well-equipped and has such kind and friendly hosts. Our family had a relaxing time and we felt lucky to be able to mark the completion of all the Munros for one of us in such great accommodation, with unbeatable views up to Ben Nevis.

  • "Really loved this cottage."

So clean, well equipped, and spacious. Plenty storage for a holiday, covered locked bike shed round the back. Sauna and fire were a treat to come home to every day. And a beautiful setting with the wee river and view of Ben Nevis from our bedroom window. Loved watching the birds, ducks and deer right outside. Already planning a return visit

Thank you Angela for your lovely feedback. I’m so glad you were comfortable and enjoyed your stay. We look forward to welcoming you back some day. Property Owner

Burnside Lodge overlooks the River Lundy situated in the small village of Torlundy, just north of Fort William.

Enjoying mountain views and private decking with barbecue and sauna, Burnside Lodge is an attractive log cabin, welcoming family, friends, and couples for a delightful stay in the Western Highlands.

After a day of fell walking, collapse on the L-shaped corner sofa beside the woodburning stove, flicking on the TV in search for a favourite film.

Cross the threshold to the kitchen, where you can perch at the breakfast bar and keep the designated chef company as they whip up a feast; there’s an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher and even a washer/dryer on hand.

Follow the wooden floors to the bedrooms, the master providing a king-size bed with en-suite shower room, whilst the attractive twin can be arranged as a king-size on request.

The excellence of this property continues outside, where the enclosed decking with furniture and barbecue provides a lovely setup for alfresco dining, whilst the purpose-built private, Finnish sauna is where you can work up a sweat and feel refreshed.

Torlundy is a great holiday location being just a short drive into the vibrant town of Fort William with its excellent range of facilities, including a distillery!

The local area is a haven for walkers and cyclists with several excellent routes throughout the local area, and, of course the impressive Nevis Range is nearby and offers stunning scenery and plenty of hikes.
