  • "Loved our stay at the Bield."

Lovely house every thing we needed and more. So clean. Loved the shower upstairs powerful and loads of space. The bath looked lovely but sadly I couldn't get in due to bad back but mother inlaw did and she loved it. Loved the space and the little view of the sea through windows also nice to walk to the sea front in seconds on a morning and on a night before bed. Loved it can't wait to stay again. Love Eyemouth 3rd visit for us. Family holiday.

  • "The hose was really well equipped, apart from the fact I would have liked a shower mat in each of the showers."

I felt these were a real slip hazard. The house was comfortable, and the kitchen had all the equipment we could need. Parking could be a problem, the coop parking is only 48 hours, which is fine if you’re using the car every day, but we didn’t. Overall pleased with our stay.

  • "Well equipped, spacious and comfortable house."

Very convenient location. However not being able to open the windows was a drawback and one of the beds in the top floor bedrooms was broken also the radiator could not be turned off. The information given was not totally correct. We were told there was an enclosed garden -no garden just a yard through the fire door which was supposed to be kept locked at all times. We were told to ignore no parking sign -wrong information. I thought the narrow, twisted stair was the second one but it was the first. Not good if you have joint problems.

Also lots if dust on shelf in living room felt gritty like it had come off the open brickwork.

  • "Lovely property in a great location with easy access to shops and restaurants."

We loved listening to the waves at night and enjoyed our walks along the sea front and on the cliffs. We pre-ordered a seafood platter from Ross Dougal and pies from Jarvis Pickle which made Christmas catering very easy. Overall we had a great week.

  • "We had a lovely stay."

We’re a large family (5 children & a dog) and we really appreciated the space, games, books and smart tv. The location is perfect for easy meals and walks. It really is a great family house! The only difficult part was getting organised for bong out by 9.30 (10am would have been much easier).

Facilities were first class with all amenities required for a large family holiday. Located in a quite area of Eyemouth but close to he harbour, shops, cafes, restaurants and pubs. We enjoyed our stay and would happily recommend the Bield for anyone looking for a larger house.

  • "We had a fantastic week here."

Couldn’t have been more central in the beautiful town of Eyemouth. The house was so spacious and tastefully decorated. The only thing that let the property down was the standard of cleaning and a few maintenance jobs needing done. Considering entry on arrival is 4.30pm and you have to be out by 9.30am on departure for the purpose of cleaning it was disappointing. We found an extra set of keys for the house (presumably previously lost) down the side of the sofa, a bottle of buckfast wine under a sofa, a kids game under another sofa. A ceiling light fitting above the bed in one of the double rooms also fell off in the middle of the night. We also had trouble with the log burner. On the 2 occasions we lit the fire smoke was escaping into the room causing the smoke alarm to go off for a lengthy period of time - even the lovely neighbours came to check we were ok! A little TLC could really make this house first class. Although the points mentioned were a little disappointing I wouldn’t say I’d never go back!

  • "Such a lovely property, in a great location… everything you possibly need in the property and outside the property with pubs, harbour, takeaways and shops all within a minutes walk if not less."

A bottle of wine and cookies provided on arrival which was a lovely touch, as well as personal contact with the owner over email. Huge spacious property even if 8 of you are there, every room is huge. The only downside for feedback would be the attic bedrooms that don’t have blinds or curtains covering the windows, but apart from that this property is faultless… Would love to stay again.
