  • "A wonderful week away in a perfect home."

Glencoe House has everything you could possibly need and the attention to detail was second to none. Comfort and luxury with a fabulous welcome pack which was greatly received. The house is in an ideal place for exploring the local area and beyond. This is without doubt the best holiday home we’ve stayed in and we will definitely return. The owners were really helpful with suggestions of where to visit. All in all, a fantastic week away.

  • "We had an excellent stay at Glencoe House."

The house was spotlessly clean, well equipped with everything you should need, and more. The house itself is very well renovated with lovely decor and finishing touches. Situated in a very handy position for the shops and pubs. Wooler itself is a lovely little village and on a good distance to other villages in Northumberland. Would highly recommend

  • "Such a fabulous place to stay."

Spotlessly clean and very well maintained. Spacious and tidy and in tip top condition. We even managed to park two large cars around the back of the property! A brilliant stay in luxury accommodation, the dog loved the dog shower, such a treat for him to have warm water instead of a cold hose.

  • "Absolutely gorgeous, we loved our stay in Glencoe house, the decor and furnishings are lovely, the dog wash room was an added bonus, the garden is more of a yard but it was just lovley to sit in on a sunny day and so quiet, previous guests mentioned how tight the drive was, we have a Kia Proceed which is a big car and we just about managed to get down it, Wooler village was lovely, fish n chips from Fry fry value for money and tasty, the best toast ever from Grinders coffee shop."

Everything you could need is provided. A beautiful welcome hamper is a fabulous touch. The owner was so attentive and responsive to a couple of questions we had. Highly recommend a stay at Glencoe you will not be disappointed.

  • "This is a beautiful house with everything you could want."

It was spotlessly clean and had all mod cons (including a dog shower and dryer). The owner messaged us before and after our stay which was a very nice personal touch. The house is situated in the heart of the town which means lots of choice of cafes/restaurants on the doorstep. This house would be very hard to beat.

  • "Enjoyed a wonderful weekend at Glencoe House which is furnished to an extremely high standard - modern & comfortable."

Beautiful large kitchen, well equipped and plenty of entertaining space for large groups. Seating area in the garden is a perfect little sun trap too. Teenage daughter loved being able to connect her music which can be played throughout the house and the good wifi connect which is a must for any young person. Beds lovely and comfortable and showers have a luxurious feel to them. Lots of quirky areas making best use of the space. Lots to do in the surrounding area. The perfect place to be - highly recommend.

  • "It was well worth the long journey from Devon to arrive at Glencoe - wow!"

We had studied the web photo's beforehand and we weren't disappointed. I was rewarded for my choice of Glencoe by having the "best bedroom". Wonderful view to wake up to. Wooler people so friendly and location great for exploring. We travelled from Morpeth to Edinburgh and lots inbetween. Ran out of time to do all we wanted. Ate at No1, Tankerville Arms, fry fry and saved the best till last - The Milan. All recommended to future visitors of Glencoe. Hope you'll receive the great service and delicious flavours that we had.

  • "Well furnished and comfortable house for 6 people."

More cutlery would have been better. Very clean. Nice to have garden furniture. Parking at the rear was a challenge and we eventually parked on the street for the last 2 nights rather than struggle. Would readily recommend and return.

  • "Clean, comfortable cottage well equipped and beautifully decorated."

Had a lovely stay only downside couldn't access parking due to very narrow entrance which is suitable for small cars only. Found parking on street but could be a problem in peak periods.

  • "Glencoe is amazing and the pictures do not do it justice."

House was immaculate when we arrived and the welcome pack was lovely. Overall could not recommend Glencoe enough, we had a great time. One word of warning the gap to get to the rear parking is very tight.

We heartily recommend No.1 and Milan locally, plus the Bamburgh beaches and Alnwick are a must. We've had a great time, but now have a very long list of jobs to do to match this place!

  • "Glencoe House is one of the nicest properties I have stayed in."

There was a beautiful welcome hamper left for us and we were also offered the opportunity to check in early and a late check out. The only issue we had was one of the beds was not left as twin beds which I had requested weeks earlier and the owner had to come and rectify. I felt awful asking as it was Christmas Eve, however he was brilliant about it. I think you owe him a huge apology. Everything else was perfect. I would highly recommend this beautiful property.

Glencoe House is finished to a high standard, was spotlessly clean and has everything you need for a great family holiday, even including a dog shower and drier! It is also in a great location with local shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants all on the doorstep. A real plus for us was the rapid EV charger in Wooler bus car park, again only 2 mins walk away. All in all a great base to explore Northumberland!

This house is done to such a high standard, one of the nicest we've stayed in in this area! We've had trips to St Abbs, Bamburgh, Seahouses, Alnwick, Embleton and Beadnell Bay so the weather hasn't stopped us! We would recommend No1 High Street Wooler for drinks and food and Milk Bar for amazing treats! Strawberry Lounge in Alnwick is a must if you are down that way!!
