• "This is a delightful, comfortable flat, set in the heart of Kelso."

  It’s very well appointed and easy to use. When you leave the flat, you are greeted by the west end of Kelso Abbey ruins, which is a very memorable thing. Karen is helpful and attentive, without being pushy. The countryside and towns around are well worth visiting. Rutherford’s bar in the Square is another highlight.

• "Fantastic Apartment in a great location."

  Very impressed from the moment we entered the property. The property is spacious and finished to an exceptionally high standard and Karen has thought of everything from the soft furnishing, elegant decoration, comfortable beds, well-equipped kitchen to the luxurious bathrooms. The photos on Sykes do not do this property justice. The location is perfect, in the centre of Kelso with views onto the Abbey. Karen kept in touch throughout the booking in process to ensure everything was to our satisfaction and left us a lovely welcome basket too. We had a fantastic weekend and are already talking about our next visit Kelso with the intention of staying in this property. I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking to stay in Kelso.

• "My family had a great time staying in Abbey Row."

  The owner was very helpful and great at communicating. The property location is excellent and within walking distance for everything you need in Kelso. The photographs probably don't do it justice either. The size of the accommodation is great and it was in great condition. I would highly recommend this place. There's so much to do in and around the Scottish Borders that we will definitely consider staying here again soon!

• "This accommodation was 1 of 3 we looked at for Kelso and it certainly lived up to its description and pictures."

  From the minute we stepped in the door we were very impressed with the quality and the location and pleased to see it had a silver award from Sykes in 2023. We travelled around the borders region each day and enjoyed relaxing each evening. Its central and near a great butchers with restaurant, bars, takeaway and shops. Everything is great and We'd not hesitate to recommend.

• "We had a very pleasant stay at 2 Abbey Row."

  The owner has an immaculate property and has thought of everything as it is very well furnished and equipped. The property was booked through Sykes and was exactly as described. It is a very cosy apartment, just off the main square in Kelso, so close to all amenities. I found absolutely no problems parking in the town and used the large car park less than a 2 minute walk from the property, although there are also spaces available directly outside on the street. Karen, the owner, is very friendly and kept in touch with me through the booking process and our stay to ensure everything was to our satisfaction. This was done in a very non-intrusive way, which made us feel very welcome in her property - Thanks for a wonderful break!

• "This is a lovely apartment with lots of nearby shops, coffee shops and nice walks."

  The owner Karen left us a lovely welcome basket which was so thoughtful and really appreciated. Karen also took the time to contact us prior to our stay and checked in again after our arrival to ensure everything was ok and advised to let her know if we needed anything. Really spacious apartment with everything we needed. We really enjoyed our stay & would definitely recommend it.

• "6-9th Sept 24 We have just returned home from an amazing stay at Abbey Row."

  This is one of the nicest places we've ever stayed in, stylish and modern decor throughout, beautiful furnishings and very comfy beds. Kitchen and bathrooms excellent and had everything you need for a comfortable stay, the additional laundry room was an additional bonus! The views from the property are stunning, you couldn't get any closer to the Abbey, what a bonus! If you are looking for a base in Kelso to explore the surrounding area, then this apartment is a little luxury find, exceptional property! • "We had a lovely stay at 2 Abbey Row."

  The apartment was warm, comfortable and beautiful. We arrived to a lovely welcome basket and a tidy, clean accommodation. The owner, Karen, contacted me before our stay to ensure we had all relevant and useful information. She also contacted me on the arrival day and the day of departure to ensure we were happy with everything. Kelso, itself, is a beautiful town with cobbled streets and is within walking distance of the local castle, Floors Castle. There are many places to eat in or takeaway - the Queens Head pub has gorgeous food, as do the local Chinese takeaway Kwan’s and Ozkans Grill, oh, do try the local Indian Sultan’s of Kelso. Kelso is within an hour of Edinburgh and Lindisfarne too!

• "Very nice spacious flat."

  All rooms a very good size. It is very well maintained and very warm. Kelso is a pretty town and well located for exploring the Scottish borders. The town is characterised by being paved in cobbles, which is attractive. It does though increase traffic noise for the two bedrooms on the main street side. Not a massive issue, but because the rest of the town is generally quiet it is noticeable. There is parking to the rear, but it is on a very narrow road. My car got scraped by someone driving by so I learnt the hard way that you should really park in the car park or by the school. That said there are a lot of benefits to staying in the centre of town in terms of being able to walk out to bars restaurants and walk by the river, so still a very good location.

We have triple glazing and shutters for the front bedrooms which dulls the noise but unfortunately being in a town brings a little traffic noise, I hope it did't detract from your stay.   Beautiful property in an excellent position for exploring Kelso and The Borders. The apartment is amazing. Lots of beautiful touches and soft furnishings to make your stay a luxurious one. The lovely owner is on hand if you need anything…which is always reassuring. Brilliant welcome pack. Everything about the property is well done from a place to dump muddy boots, beautiful quality bed linen, towels aplenty, cushions everywhere and the best stocked kitchen we have experienced in a holiday rental. I particularly liked the abundance of lamps and lighting options, so thoughtful. It really is a property full of home comforts and luxury, the owner has a real flair for holiday rentals and has poured their heart and soul into this beautiful property. There was a farmers market in the square while we were there, we travelled to the home of Walter Scott, Abbotsford, in 30 mins and to Bamburgh Castle, 1 hour, both of which I would highly recommend. If you would like to explore Kelso and the beautiful Borders, we would highly recommend a stay at this beautiful property.

  Contact from Karen prier to our stay & the information she gave was excellent. It became apparent that we had stayed at Karen's previous property in 2019 so we knew it would be excellent & we certainly were not disappointed . The apartment is beautifully decorated & very spacious. It has everything you need for an extremely comfortable & relaxing stay. Also exceptionally clean. The bed was very comfortable and there is a lovely view of the Abbey from the bedroom window. We had no problemin parking the car very close by. The apartment is very well positioned in Kelso to reach all its amenities & for exploring the surrounding areas.. Karen left a lovely welcome basket for arrival l. We would highly recommend 2 Abbey Row and hope to revisit in the future. Thank you.

• "This is a beautifully presented house with everything you need."

  The host kept in touch to make sure everything was in order. There are a few steps to the property so not good for anyone with mobility issues. Lovely welcome gift, delightful toiletries and spotlessly clean. Kelso has some good places to eat, a great shoe shop that between us we bought 5 pairs of shoes/boots

  All fittings and furnishings are top quality. It has everything you could need. Just a few hundred yards from Kelso main square, the river and numerous shops. The Abbey ruins are just across the road where there is access to the well maintained gardens. Would not hesitate in recommending.

• "A fabulous property in a fantastic location, round the corner from the shops and bars of Kelso."

  A perfect home from home, it was pristinely clean, well furnished, well decorated and so comfortable! Karen was a brilliant host providing excellent communication about our stay. She gave us advance warning of rideout events, and we were able to watch the pipe band and horses from our window. Although there is no private parking, there is a public car park very close by.

  Perfectly located to explore lots of places in the Scottish Borders. • "This was an amazing property as a family who had had a really stressful few weeks before arrival it was the best stress buster ever ."

  You felt the warmth and calmness the minute you walked through the door and you could see the effort the owner had put in to make your stay a memorable one . The cleanliness of the apartment was second to none everywhere was immaculate. You didn’t have to go far to stock up and the locals were really friendly and would answer all your questions and you also had Karen who kept in regular contact to make sure everything was going well .   It’s great to stay somewhere where pubs and shops are walkable so you don’t always need the car. Attention to detail was great, even down to the private seating area in the courtyard. Communication from the owner was good and the apartment had everything we needed…and more!

  There was everything you could possibly need at hand. Nothing was overlooked! What struck us was how immaculate it was and the owners left us a goody basket as well .   Comprehensive bits and pieces to start you off (bin bags, dishwasher tablets etc) and a generous welcome basket. Wish we had stayed longer than our short break. Excellent base for touring the borders.

  The property is very well appointed with views of the Abbey and one of the main streets. It has all the creature comforts you would expect, including excellent WiFi. A really good base for exploring the area.

• "I can honestly say this is the best holiday accommodation i have ever stayed in."

  Everything is outstanding and of a high standard. Loved the information folder, really helped alot. Would highly recommend this accommodation to anyone looking for a touch of luxury, relaxed paced break away. We came with our children 9 and 15 whom both loved it too. The owner is lovely and easy to contact. Best holiday in a while.
