  • "We stayed in the BayTree Studio for three nights while exploring the Alnmouth area and Northumberland cost."

The Studio is in a lovely setting with private access and parking which was is easy to locate following the directions given. The accommodation is stunning, meticulously clean and tidy with everything we required for our stay. The host who we met is very friendly, welcoming and accommodating and on hand if we needed anything. We would definitely stay again and highly rate this accommodation.

  • "The property was perfect, although a little difficult to find at first, a passerby pointed me in right direction."

Everything in the property was great quality, and perfect for one person or a couple. There were nice touches like bread, milk and butter, biscuits etc left. I was confused that there was a two ringed cooker but no pots, or maybe I missed them? It did have a full sized oven and microwave so not really an issue. There was a little seating area outside for eating, or enjoying a morning cuppa. The bed was very comfy, the only thing I didnt like was that there was nothing to open the windows with and I was too short to open them or close the blinds, it was a very warm week so would have been good to get some air. I also was unsure what to do with the rubbish, I didn't see anywhere to empty the bin? The village of Lesbury is beautiful, has a lovely pub, a welcoming local shop (steak pie was amazing) and is in very close proximity to Alnmouth train station and the X18/20 bus stop was just next to property. There is also a Morrisons next to the bus station in Alnwick for supplies. There are loads of lovely walking routes and cycle paths, only a 15/20 mins walk into Alnmouth which has a beautiful beach and it's a haven for bird watching. I would definitely recommend Warkworth Castle which is only 4 miles away. I loved the area and will be back again in the near future, possibly with friends.

Thank you for your kind feedback. I am sorry you did not find the saucepans which are all in the cupboard under the hob, and also that you could not open the Velux windows. I will arrange for a pole to enable this in the future and I am grateful to have been made aware of it. I will ask the Housekeeper to leave a note about rubbish disposal. I hope you will return on another occasion. Andrew. Property Owner

  • "The accommodation was compact but very clean and well equipped."

Very comfortable bed with nice linen. Quiet situation. The only criticism would be that for some strange reason the hot water did not work between 23:00 and 07:00. The only natural light in the entire place was 2 Velux roof windows and these had obviously not been cleaned for many months. This was surprising as they are very easy to clean so there can be no excuses.

  • "A nice little hideaway in a very private and safe location."

Excellent spec and very quiet. Perfect for a couple of nights but a tad small for any longer than that.

  • "An excellent and well maintained little abode perfectly sized for two."

There were some lovely touches, such as a coffee machine and good quality essentials. The owner was very welcoming when we arrived as well. I’d recommend this property.

  • "I would prefer a teapot That may just be me, it doesn't seem the norm these days."

But other wise, I thought it worked worked surprisingly well. Reading earlier comments people had indicated a lack of hanging facilities, but it was fine for me, as I had it all to myself. I thought it was a lovely touch to provide some staples, such as bread, milk etc.

  • "We very much enjoyed our stay, our only negative comments would be the lack offer clearing cloths in the kitchen and bathroom, I."

E, to wipe down work surfaces etc and the information in the manual regarding rubbish was not clear. Neither detracted from our enjoyment but it's always good to look to improve. We definitely hope to be back in Northumberland in the future.

  • "Really lovely property…."

It’s perfect if you want to spend time exploring the area after having breakfast Unfortunately the weather was not good so we spent more time indoors………Andrew was really helpful and we had all the facilities we needed

  • "The Bay Tree Studio was small but had most faciclites that we required."

When we arrived, we had a problem finding the property but both phone numbers went straight to the local Cottage rental shop, obviously we eventually found it. My biggest gripe was that with this and the last rental we booked through Sykes (The Milking Parlour), despite ticking for a property within 1 mile of a Pub (for evening meals), in both cases the pub was closed and Sykes failed to inform us. This spoilt our whole stay both times
