  • "Love Alnmouth and love the Old Concert Room, however we did think the apartment was not quite as well looked after than when we stayed in June."

There were no cleaning cloths, so I had to use a duster for the sinks and shower. No small cardboard box containing washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, sponge for pots and spare bin bags. No oven gloves (although we did not cook in) and again no toiletries, as are provided in much cheaper accommodations. A lot of the pots were dirty, so we just washed and used a few. We do understand this could be the previous occupiers, however perhaps a quick check would be good. Kitchen cupboard fronts were dirty. The decking was broken in a few places and weeds were growing up through it and the outside table and chairs could do with updating. I know this all sounds a bit petty, but we know what the apartment can be like and we were a little disappointed this time. It will not stop us returning, but for the price charged, we feel it needs a bit more attention to detail. Please get a sign made for the parking place, as we had to ask a couple of times for vehicles to be moved.

  • "We had a great holiday one of the cleanest properties we have stayed in."

Everything that we needed in the apartment. However the patio area was lacking and Spartan compared to the next property next door. Allocated parking was not clearly identified and the rear of the service men’s club could have done with some TLC to make it more appealing to guests.

  • "Lovely accommodation and will definitely come back if at all possible."

Superb position in Alnmouth, was a lovely place to return to after days out. Felt like home from home. By far the best accommodation we have stayed in during our many stays in Alnmouth. Perfect to open the doors and let the sun (and wind) in and the dogs out onto the decking. The decking could do with a bit of care and the small bistro table and chairs have seen better days. Was a tad disappointed that no toiletries whatsoever were provided. There was a virtually empty liquid soap bottle in the downstairs toilet, but fortunately we had a small bar in wash bag, so didn't have to rush out and get anything. Please also have a look at the bathroom door, as it does not shut properly. Thank you for a lovely stay.

  • "Really lovely indoor space, very traditional and cosy and most of all warm and extremely clean."

We have a dog and to find such excelent accomodation is unusual and we treated it accordingly. Outdoor space was a little unkempt, broken storage box and a little poor;y maintained. Also, the parking space NEEDS IDENTIFICATION. We will return!

  • "A great location, once we got used to the parking as there seemed to be different cars at the back each night."

Apartment was spotless and kitchen very well equipped. Quite a bit of noise from the Servicemen below/next door on the evening of our arrival - though it was Remembrance Day and probably to be expected. Range of IR sensor for outside light not quite wide enough so that small step on decking wasn’t illuminated when returning in the dark. 2 of the 3 bulbs in the bathroom not working. Also one of the bedside lamps, plus the table lamp on the windowsill to the right of the door in the main room.

  • "Lovely property with an ideal location."

Well equipped kitchen and good sized bedrooms. Parking a little confusing as the instructions say to park in the marked bay but it wasn’t marked? The neighbouring property decked out was marked so we took a guess but could maybe do with a sign. The book inside also said there was a parking permit you needed to put in the car but there wasn’t one. Had a great week with some good weather- would definitely go back

Very close to the village centre and access to the beach and convenient for travelling to other places of interest to us. Thank you.

  • "Lovely large property."

Comfortable lounge with furniture to suit the ages of the property . The kitchen was really well equipped with just about every utensil and crockery you might need. The welcome packs for cleaning and provisions were very different but an excellent touch . Spacious bedrooms and comfortable beds. The shower room is perfect and the water power and immediate hot water much appreciated . Only small negative is that the outside decking may need to be replaced before too long but still very usable along with the outside furniture. All in all highly recommended.

  • "We had a good fortnight here although the weather could have been kinder."

The location is excellent & the on-site parking a godsend. The apartment is over a pub but there was no problem with noise even over the Coronation weekend. The apartment is well appointed on the whole. Excellent shower, appreciated having 2 toilets, a very efficient washer /dryer, lots of cupboard & hanging space & we would enjoyed making use of the patio area if the weather had been better. Only a couple of gripes; the double bed sags a little in the middle & the slope on the bedroom ceiling made it difficult to read comfortably in bed; a few more pots/pans in the kitchen would have been helpful as would a long-handled brush and/or a dustpan & brush. I don't know who sets the prices (Sykes? the owner?) but we felt the apartment was expensive compared to others in the same location & our plans to return next year were cancelled when we saw the increase in prices for 2024. How do you justify a 20% increase for the equivalent dates?

  • "We had a lovely stay."

Property was airy and spacious. Comfy beds and generally well stocked. Hoover would be handy. Ideal for us as a family of four. Good information leaflets - particularly the booklet of local walks. Very little noise from pub below and never disruptive at all. We probably caused more noise to them clattering about!! Also no noise from street. Very close to beach and facilities. Beautiful setting with amazing beach. Walk to Warworth brilliant.

  • "This is the first time we have stayed in this property."

It certainly won't be the last. We absolutely loved it, everything was perfect. It would probably not be suitable for young children or people with a disability due to the steps up to the property. Beautiful place and would highly recommend. Jayne, Mick and Buddy (the dog)

Really clean, very central, lovely outdoor area. Had everything we needed and we very much enjoyed our stay. Very little noise from the club heard in lounge and absolutely none whatsoever in the bedrooms. Overall, we didn’t want to come home. An amazing holiday in our favourite area of the country!
