Within a short walk to the restaurants and pubs. Well equipped kitchen. Would reccomend and would return.Just one thing, perhaps a shelf in the bsthroom to place toileteries.

  • "This is a lovely property in a superb location."

It is close to the beach, bars, restaurants, coffee shops and the local village shop. The apartment is well equipped, clean and comfortable. When we were there (mid July) there were lots of parking spaces freely available and it was easy to park. We would be happy to recommend it.

  • "A lovely property with everything you need for a week's stay."

Very clean, a well fitted kitchen, laundry room and plenty of private car parking. It is located very central to the old town of Beadnell, with 4 different restaurants/cafe close by. It is also within easy walking distance of the beach and a very short drive to Seahouses.

  • "This apartment was just wonderful."

We have done a lot of cottage stays, and this was the most generously supplied (even had Milk in fridge, the rarely-provided cafetiere, and a kitchen with all you need to cook unlike the places that give you just a whisk and one frying pan!) All the furnishings and fittings were really beautiful. Sofas and bed incredibly comfortable. Shower really fantastic. The location was excellent too- you could hear the live music from the pub on Saturday afternoon, and the church bells ringing Sunday. Communication from the owner was flawless. Would recommend it to anyone.

It is well situated in the village of Beadnell for exploring the surrounding area and walking along the England Coast Path. There are numerous excellent places to eat within walking distance or a short car journey.

  • "The parking was easy as was access (one single set of straight steps)for unloading."

The apartment was as expected from the photographs and description. Entry was a no problem once we had identified which doorway was the entrance to our apartment since there was at least one other with the same number but a different building name. Eventually we gained entry with the code. For future visitors please be advised that it is the doorway labelled “Bramley”. The flat was not warm on entry but quickly warmed up once the 3 electric wall heaters were switched on. The only downside was the fact that each one needed to have the temperature adjusted individually. The electric towel rail was effective at heating the bathroom but the temperature adjustment was a little difficult because the LCD display was not easy to read without very close inspection. Once the immersion heater (in the cupboard in the bedroom) was switched on there was plenty of hot water with no further adjustments needed. The shower had plenty of pressure and worked well. The bed was comfortable bed but the sofa was rather soft and one side was very saggy for our taste. There was however one single armchair that was comfortable. The kitchen was good with an adequate range of utensils, crockery and appliances. The television in the living room was good (we did not bother watching the one in the bedroom) from our point of view. The private rubbish collection does not collect glassware or bottles and these need to be taken to a local recycling centre. There appears to be only one type of collection so we do not know how much of our rubbish was recycled. The area was quiet with no noise from neighbours. The only disturbance was from the crunch of gravel from cars entering and leaving the pub car park which was immediately behind the building. There are two public houses, providing food, as well as a bistro in the centre of the village which is at the most 1-2 minutes walk away; the nearest pub is called the Craster Arms which was the one we frequented. It has a good range of beers and food. It can get busy in the evenings so it may be best to book a table for food if you want to avoid a wait. For those with dog allergies, beware that on busy nights there were always a lot of accompanied dogs. All in all a most pleasant stay and we would recommend both the flat and the area to visitors.

  • "This is a lovely place to stay, just a couple of niggles need sorting."

The bathroom needs a shelf to put toiletries on near the sink and in the shower, The entrance door at the top of the stairs and the one to the hot water tank didn't close on the catch properly at all, and we had to wipe the cistern because of there was something on it near the push button, the bedside lamps are to big, they leave little space to put anything on there, none of this would deter us from maybe staying here again, it's a beautiful place and has pretty much everything you need for a great holiday

  • "Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here."

We have stayed in this property twice before but it has recently been upgraded and is now even better. The shower room is much improved and the decor in the lounge and bedroom is really lovely. The apartment was spotlessly clean - 10/10 to the cleaners. Just for future holidaymakers there is no cling film, tin foil and very little cleaning stuff - so take your own. Kitchen roll, fairy liquid and dishwasher tablets were provided though, but only one toilet roll - not a complaint just heads up for future visitors. Would definitely stay here again and would certainly recommend to others.

About the location

BEADNELL

Seahouses 1.5 miles; Bamburgh 5 miles.

This attractive and peaceful harbour village is situated beside one of the most beautiful stretches of Northumberland’s Heritage Coastline - Beadnell Bay. Established in Saxon times, Beadnell was once an important fishing village and a smuggler's haven. Nowadays, it is still a fishing village, but is equally popular with holidaymakers who come to enjoy its pretty harbour and, of course, the nearby sandy beaches. The village has a shop, two pubs and a café serving food. Popular Seahouses is just over a mile away and has shops, a supermarket and restaurants, and it also offers boat trips from the harbour to the magnificent Farne Islands - a haven for bird watchers. Bamburgh is close by, whilst the market town of Alnwick with its Castle and Gardens, shops, pubs and restaurants is a short drive away.
