  • "What a lovely cottage, lots of space , warm and everything you need is there, including a welcome hamper."

Cottage is located beside a road and beside the pubs carpark and I was a bit worried about noise. It's not noisy at all! It is so quiet. The owners messaged us to let us know we could get in cottage early which was great after a long journey. During our stay we had a problem with the shower but the problem was resolved within hours and on a Sunday with no inconvenience at all. A beautiful area to explore and eating places close to cottage. Thank you Susan and Norman for a lovely holiday

Thank you for the positive feedback. Property Owner

Unfortunately we had no mobile phone reception, not sure if it was the cottage or our phone company, and the shower, although turned up to the highest heat was luke warm, these are our only complaints, otherwise a fantastic place

  • "Beautiful cottage, which has been renovated to a very high standard, is in a great location from which you can explore the delights of Northumberland."

Situated in the centre of the village you have a couple of pubs and a coffee shop to choose from if you don't want to cook. The kitchen at O'Neil's is really well kitted out with all the equipment you need and more if you fancy cooking though! We had the benefit of really nice weather and would sit out in the garden (there are two seating areas front and back) enjoying a morning coffee before we went out for the day. Walk through the village and go down to the beach with its rock pools, go to Seahouses and take a boat trip, or visit Bamburgh Castle, Dunstanburgh Castle, Berwick Anwick and more, before coming back and relaxing in this lovely cottage. The two welcome packs, one for us and one for our dog, were fab! Would definitely stay again.

Beadnell is perfectly located for sightseeing and visiting all the AONB. The cottage is right next to The Craster Arms, where the fish and chips is a must. About the location

BEADNELL

Seahouses 1.5 miles; Bamburgh 5 miles.

This attractive and peaceful harbour village is situated beside one of the most beautiful stretches of Northumberland’s Heritage Coastline - Beadnell Bay. Established in Saxon times, Beadnell was once an important fishing village and a smuggler's haven. Nowadays, it is still a fishing village, but is equally popular with holidaymakers who come to enjoy its pretty harbour and, of course, the nearby sandy beaches. The village has a shop, two pubs and a café serving food. Popular Seahouses is just over a mile away and has shops, a supermarket and restaurants, and it also offers boat trips from the harbour to the magnificent Farne Islands - a haven for bird watchers. Bamburgh is close by, whilst the market town of Alnwick with its Castle and Gardens, shops, pubs and restaurants is a short drive away.
