  • "An amazing well equipped and clean bungalow conveniently located in Beadnell."

A short walk to the beach, coastal path and local pubs/hotels with restaurants. Short drive or 45m walk to Seahouses and 10m drive to Bamburgh. Local shop has been sold and although still open has very limited stock apart from basics like bread and milk so worth bringing supplies with you. Co-op supermarket in Seahouses is well stocked but doesn't have a car park. A thoroughly enjoyable stay I'd recommend Whitesands

Thank you for your very kind review we try to make Whitesands as home from home as possible. Property Owner

  • "Another great stay in Northumberland, but our first time in Beadnell."

Whitesands cottage was lovely, beautifully furnished with really comfy beds and bedding. The bungalow is very spacious with everything you could want. The heated drying rack was particularly useful. The bungalow was especially well suited for my elderly Mum who has mobility problems. The centre of Beadnell with a pub, hotel restaurant & bar and the Saltwater Cafe was a five minute walk and the Landings bar & restaurant and the beautiful sweeping bay and beach a ten minute walk. There is also a pizza takeaway at the beach car park which is open Thursday - Sunday.

Thank you for your kind review we will take up the cleanliness issue with NCC who serve Whitesands. We’re pleased the bungalow suited your Mum. Property Owner

  • "Surprisingly spacious bungalow with everything 6 of us needed for a three night stay."

Tastefully decorated and exceptionally well maintained. In a good location too - within walking distance of beach, local pub and Seahouses where we got boat trip to Holy Island. Did manage to get three cars parked in drive too.

  • "Great spot, a beautiful, fresh home from home."

We brought bikes so the short distance to the beach was even easier. Lovely comfortable beds and linen in a quiet street with perfect access to the village. Large utility room also made for a practical family stay. Just one slight niggle that the family bathroom shower was a little weak. We will be booking again, thank you

  • "We had a fabulous stay at Whitesands."

The house was beautifully decorated and had everything in it you could want. A utility room with a heated clothes rail was a great added extra and it certainly helped with the good old British Summer rain. Lots of space in the house and the kitchen was fully kitted out. I read previous reviews about it not having this and that however I found that not to be the case and it had everything you’d need for cleaning and cooking. Can’t fault it at all. The location is also great for exploring the area and Beadnell has a couple of nice cafes and restaurants to visit. Would highly recommend.

Thank you for your lovely review; we do try to take on board our guests’ reviews and aim to rectify any issues. Property Owner

  • "The bungalow is spacious and very well furnished and equipped."

A lot of love, care and thought has gone into setting the bungalow up as a holiday home. The garden has a good sized table and chairs although the rough gravel made it look bland and uninviting. The location is good as it's within walking distance of the beach and the small village. However, it's on a residential housing estate which isn't my favourite place to be on holiday. The welcome packs were a nice touch although we had to buy wash up liquid and cleaning stuff as there was none available in the property. The local shop isn't worth visiting although hopefully improvements will be made with a new owner. The coop at Seahouses is very good and just a short drive. (not worth going all the way to Alnwick for a supermarket) The bungalow made a great base for our holiday in Northumberland.

Thank you for your kind comments they’re much appreciated. Property Owner

  • "The holiday cottage was absolutely fantastic, had everything we needed."

It was on a quiet estate, a 5 to 20 minutes walk to a lovely sandy beach ideal for families or like me me for walking my dogs. Perfectly located for visitors attractions.

About the location

BEADNELL

Seahouses 1.5 miles; Bamburgh 5 miles.

This attractive and peaceful harbour village is situated beside one of the most beautiful stretches of Northumberland’s Heritage Coastline - Beadnell Bay. Established in Saxon times, Beadnell was once an important fishing village and a smuggler's haven. Nowadays, it is still a fishing village, but is equally popular with holidaymakers who come to enjoy its pretty harbour and, of course, the nearby sandy beaches. The village has a shop, two pubs and a café serving food. Popular Seahouses is just over a mile away and has shops, a supermarket and restaurants, and it also offers boat trips from the harbour to the magnificent Farne Islands - a haven for bird watchers. Bamburgh is close by, whilst the market town of Alnwick with its Castle and Gardens, shops, pubs and restaurants is a short drive away.
