The cottage is very warm and relaxing with terrific views from the living room and has a great rear fully fenced garden ideal for the dog to get some air between days out and beach walks. Warkworth town, castle, along the river and the beach are must walking areas whilst your there.

  • "Have stayed in many cottages and for the price this one didn’t meet expectations!"

Although it was a lovely property, the decor, furnishings and general upkeep was definitely lacking! Also lack of welcome pack, not even a bottle of milk! Would definitely not recommend or stay here again unless I was assured the property had been tidied up.

  • "The property was beautiful."

The views were fantastic and the house was in quite surroundings. The garden was perfect for our dog with a safe location to walk round at night. The kitchen had everything you would need and the bedrooms were spacious. Upstairs was as clean as a whistle but the living room required a going over with a duster and maybe someone to water the plant as we did it while we were there.

  • "Absolutely lovely holiday home in a great location to explore Northumberland."

The staff we encountered were helpful and responsive. They fixed the dishwasher quickly - you don’t want to be washing up on your holidays! Two minor things - a side table with a broken leg in the lounge tipped over and nearly hit our dog! And none of the batteries in any TV remotes worked when we got there. Apart from that everything was great . The garden and views are brilliant and the kitchen superb and is well equipped. We had a good holiday here as a family and I would recommend to others.

  • "This is our second stay at The Pepperpot."

The cottage is well equipped for everything you’ll need and is well located to explore the surrounding area. There really is so much to see and do during the day and relax back at the cottage in the evening, watching the sunset. Whilst I wouldn’t hesitate to return for a third time, we did notice that the wine fridge was still broken from last year and things like the sofas and some of the bedroom furniture is looking a bit tired now. When we arrived we also felt the level of cleaning was not as good as the previous year; the windows weren’t too clean and had marks on most likely left by a previous four legged occupant

  • "Stayed at many holiday cottages, this one was right up there."

All needed for great stay and refreshing attention to detail and a high spec in general .Great views at rear and location for all the local sights. Hope to return one day soon. One negative though i am afraid and a bad one at that with agents. There was a broken light switch in master bedroom. It was dangerous and could have potentially have given us a shock when using it . I received voicemail on first day of stay (Saturday 30th March) from Sykes saying they had been made aware of it by housekeeping prior to us arriving and would be sorted out next week. I rang Sykes straight back and said id had this voicemail but was URGENT, explaining why, and needed attending too immediately. No one come to fix over the weekend or indeed the next week as stated in voicemail either. It was same ( broken) when we left following Friday. For this lapse level of service and also being a H&S issue id rate them as an agent 0/10

The accommodation is very comfortable, the kitchen has everything you need. Views from sitting room and master bedroom are stunning. The dogs loved the enclosed garden and we were fortunate enough to have some decent weather to be able to sit outside. Cottage is well situated for coastal walks or visiting other places of interest.

Well I must say WOW, it is a absolutely beautiful place to stay and give it 5 stars in all areas. The kitchen is very well stocked with everything you need and the owners have thought of everything. The lovely spacious bedrooms and bathrooms allow all the family their own areas. The living room is beautiful with the fantastic view of the very large garden and fields. Our dog was in heaven with the garden. We will definitely stay again and 100% recommend it to anyone else. Thank you so much for an incredible stay.

This is a house with stairs which wasn’t clear from the listing, we incorrectly(our error) thought from the photographs there was a downstairs bedroom. View from the master bedroom was amazing. Kitchen fully equipped for self- catering. Excellent butchers in Amble and cafe- Bertram’s in Warkworth.

  • "Probably the most well equipped and comfortable cottage we have stayed in."

Situated on a farm complex with a number of other holiday cottages and residential properties. There was everything we could have needed and it was so peaceful and relaxing. Fabulous views from the rear of the cottage. Great space for dogs as the garden is fully enclosed, although if you have a very big dog or one that can jump quite high, they would possibly be able to jump over the fence. The cottage was clean and very comfortable, especially the beds. It’s an ideal base for sightseeing and returning back to a lovely cottage in the evening with a real fire for any chilly nights. Would recommend the Masons Arms pub in Warkworth for superb meals, especially the steak and ale pie but beware, the portions of pie are not for the faint hearted!! They are also very dog friendly. The Cook and Barker at Newton on the Moor is also another great dog friendly pub. Cragside and Rothbury are well worth visiting and a visit to Rothbury family butchers for their cragside cracker sausages are a must! Can recommend Turnbull’s butchers if you want to eat at the cottage. Great meat and various pies etc. A visit to Holy Island is definitely worth it if the tide times work for you. We had the best crab sandwiches ever there and there’s a fabulous little art gallery with the artist, John Tierney in residence. We bought another of his pictures and it was great to have another chat with him. The cottage is just up the road from Morwick ice cream dairy and we can certainly recommend this! We also recommend a visit to Amble, Warkworth, Morpeth and of course, Alnwick. So much to see and do and what better way to do this than having a lovely cottage to stay in. We could have happily stayed for longer and will no doubt be booking the cottage again.

  • "The Pepper Pot is an amazing place to stay and we all felt instantly at home."

There is so much space in the property and the garden and views are fabulous. A problem with the travel cot provided was quickly remedied, for which we were very grateful. The only slight suggestion I would have is regarding the baking trays for the oven. Most of them were too large to fit onto the shelves and it would be helpful if some suitably sized trays could be provided. That aside, we could not have had a better stay and we would highly recommend this gorgeous property, which is perfectly located for exploring all the beauty that Northumberland has to offer !

  • "We arrived excited to stay in luxury cottage as described - unfortunately we were very disappointed on some aspects: •No toilet paper in some bathrooms •Dirty oven and oven dishes and frying pans, all had burnt food in them •cobwebs hanging from the lights in lounge • very dusty in places (accept in a rural area but not the 1st day you arrive) • the grip tape coming off the stairs •no actual wood left for the fire just some kindling • Friday - no hot water - eventually re managed to restart boiler but possibly needs checking…."

We contacted the local office re toilet rolls and oven - and it was sorted that day - we did it discover the dirty frying pans until Wednesday evening - so had to get the scourers out before could use…not happy .. we also reported the other issues so the office were aware and they did apologise We were disappointed and our expectations were not met, albeit the list appears to be little things it all adds up when you want a stress free relaxing holiday.
