    Very good location.

  • "Bed not suitable for elderly or those with disabilities as the bed is against wall and would Cause person at back having to climb over."

Lack of privacy nice curtains but no blinds leaving open view to rooms and kitchen.

  • "I'm sorry to say Flora Cottage didn't match up to our expectations in relation to the sleeping arrangements ie,the bed was so hard and if you needed the loo in the night you had to climb over the other person to get out, totally unsatisfactory."

We could not find the switch for the oven??but didn't need to use.The shower was very low on pressure and very small and the handset would not stay in place. If these items were put right it would be a nice place to stay, but could not go back until they were.regards Ron fuller.

  • "The upgrade of the facilities since my last visit were very much needed and made the cottage more attractive."

The replacement of the bedroom curtains was very welcoming as the old ones let too much of the street light opposite in.

  • "Really enjoyed our stay."

The cottage was lovely and bright and exceptionally clean. Able to sit in the sunshine till late evening. There was lots of basics provided which was very nice. The only thing we couldn't find was a sweeping brush!

Thank you for your kind words and great to hear you enjoyed your stay. Not sure where the sweeping brush had disappeared to but I have replaced it with a new one. Property Owner

  • "A lovely clean single storey bungalow, ideal for couples only."

The garden not being enclosed was a problem, especially at 3.00am in the morning when your pet needs to go to the garden. My partner had to dress to take him out. The bungalow had everything we needed. But you do have to climb over your partner to go to the loo. Because my side was against the wall. Other than that well maintained,

  • "The property is so small ie."

Kitchen work space so limited appliance have to be removed if you want to use the microwave you have to move the kettle etc. No safety mat in shower, basin tap very hard to regulate. Bedroom 6' 6" wide with a king sized bed jammed up against the wall! We had to crawl over one another to get out. Garden is an open patio on the corner open to the road! Only one exit/entrance very unsafe if there was a fire. The bed was so hard that we left half way through the week to find a hotel and get some sleep. We are now over £200 out of pocket and our holiday was ruined

About the location

BEADNELL

Seahouses 1.5 miles; Bamburgh 5 miles.

This attractive and peaceful harbour village is situated beside one of the most beautiful stretches of Northumberland’s Heritage Coastline - Beadnell Bay. Established in Saxon times, Beadnell was once an important fishing village and a smuggler's haven. Nowadays, it is still a fishing village, but is equally popular with holidaymakers who come to enjoy its pretty harbour and, of course, the nearby sandy beaches. The village has a shop, two pubs and a café serving food. Popular Seahouses is just over a mile away and has shops, a supermarket and restaurants, and it also offers boat trips from the harbour to the magnificent Farne Islands - a haven for bird watchers. Bamburgh is close by, whilst the market town of Alnwick with its Castle and Gardens, shops, pubs and restaurants is a short drive away.
