  • "Very well equipped property."

All the little items which make a holiday let into a home were available. Very dog friendly with throws on furniture, dog bowls and mat made things comfortable for pets also. Welcome pack items were lovely and we followed up with extra scones through the week. Brilliant open views, easy access to public footpath over open fields for dog exercise and a central location for NT properties and Coastal Villages.

  • "We have toured around the country for many years and found the Glanton cabin exemplary."

The little details from the owner were fantastic. It was clean and we felt we were welcome in the cabin even though we didn’t see anybody (which is perfect for us!). We were very comfortable, slept like logs on the very comfy bed. In a word it was marvellous. I would highly recommend.

We loved our stay, though there were a few small things that could benefit from a little TLC, the tap in the kitchen had to be run fast for it to get warm, this meant the water splashed a fair bit, the toilet flush occasionally got stuck so continued to fill, the bedroom door is catching & required some effort to close and the sofa was so low so not great for our dodgy knees and brighter lighting would be beneficial, a soft area of floor in front of the shower and some of the sealant requires replacing around the cubicle but otherwise the cabin was warm and comfortable with everything we needed, we would return :-)

  • "We absolutely loved our stay."

The cabin was beautiful and cosy and spotlessly clean. The views and tranquility was wonderful and we saw sheep and deer. Fantastic location for travelling round with most attractions only half hour away. Bed and sofa very comfy. Good powerful shower. Wonderful welcome gifts, the eggs were delicious. Very friendly and kind owner when we phoned for advice. We have already booked to go back. We want to go every year. Thank you so much

Welcome pack a nice touch. Outside light did not work, but a torch was available. Lights flickered and dimmed when the kettle was switched on. Great views with lots of sightings of wildlife. Cosy hideaway. Will be happy to return.

  • "This cabin has great views, and is in a great location for you to further explore Northumberland."

Most attractions are approximately 30 minutes drive away. However, we felt that cabin was let down by its cleanliness. There were a lot of cobwebs throughout the cabin, the carpet in the main living area was stained and the oven needs a thorough cleaning. Due to this being a dog friendly cabin, we expected to find a small amount of dog hair. However, the sofa, cushions and throws were absolutely covered in black dog hair. We actually purchased a lint roller from the local supermarket to remove this. We also found black dog on the bed sheets and pillows The mattress was very uncomfortable and the sofa has seen better days and needs replacing. It is felt that with a little bit of TLC this cabin would be a great place to stay. The location is great, and the area is extremely beautiful and peaceful.

A very generous welcome pack was left for us and a beeping smoke alarm was promptly fixed and Ian (owner) took time to ensure that all was OK!! The lodge is very comfortable and well equipped although I was surprised that there was no hairdryer!! We are no strangers to the area and we are pleased to have discovered Fram Park and we fully intend to return to Glanton Lodge.

We were looked after very well with a generous welcome pack, and when the microwave was unsafe to use a new one was provided the very next day. The site was easy to access and very quiet. Our main concern was the kitchen area. The cupboards and floor around the cooker were sticky and the oven was disgusting, it had never been cleaned. The roasting tin had been used and not washed. Both taps in the bathroom dripped constantly so overall we would not recommend this cabin.

. The gate on the door was really useful - it meant our dog and us could get some fresh air but he was safe inside with us. Everything we needed was provided and there were enough kitchen utensils for our needs. Very handy for the coast and the places of interest nearby.

The welcome pack waiting for us included..milk, eggs, freshly made scones, butter jam and marmalade. A jar of dog biscuits and bowls were a lovely added touch. A lovely bunch of flowers on the table too. The log cabin on this selection of holiday cabins is in the best position. It’s right at the end and has all of the beautiful views. We would recommend this cabin and would definitely return. One thing to remember is to put the catch down on the front door as you could easily lock yourselves out. There is no one around to help if this happens. We loved our stay. Mick and Yvonne Ash.

We felt the actual lodge could do with redecorating both inside and outside like some of the others on the same site. Also it is easy to lock yourself out of the lodge because of the door locking system which is a similar type on the other lodges.

Perfectly comfortable and had everything and more such as basics eg washing up liquid sponge, extra toilet rolls. These are things I always usually take away as not included in many places. It’s like a home away from home. Signal isn’t great but I wasn’t so bothered as end of day I was wanting an escape from reality and that was definitely possible here. The view was just amazing to wake up to every morning. The stars were literally out of this world every night as was lucky enough for some clear skies. Near some lovely walks and places to visit couldn’t ask for a better place to stay.
