  • "Great cottage, great view down to the sea."

Orange juice, milk, bread, tea and biscuits all provided. My only possible criticism is that the bedrooms were a little small and storage for clothes was limited. Great holiday, in a great spot for touring.

Thank you very much for your feedback We will take consideration about the bedroom storage and hope to see you return to North Farm in the near future Property Owner

Need to let people know there is ample storage in divan drawers in bedrooms. A shelf in the bathrooms would be a brilliant addition. Lovely staff on site. Amazing walks right from the doorstep. Pool is a real treat.

  • "Fantastic property in a superb location."

Being able to book slots in the brilliant swimming pool just for our family was an added bonus. The property owners have tried to think of everything. Cutting pathways in the surrounding fields to access the beach and village of Embleton is a great idea and made both really accessible. Very well maintained properties and grounds and extremely clean and comfortable. Our only request would be that more storage for clothes is required in the bedrooms. Maybe a chest of drawers rather than a chair, and some more hanging space and hangars. Also some shelving or storage space in the bathrooms. This said, l would have no problem in recommending these superb cottages. The welcome pack was much appreciated too. Thanks for a great stay. Will definitely look to return in the future. Very dog friendly with fantastic walks straight from the cottage.

Brilliant to find somewhere that lives up to the online photos and the seaviews are fabulous. The swimming pool is really clean and it's great that you get to book it just for your group. We had a great time and will be back in future years.

Had a great stay as always. The only negative was the dust on the skirting boards and behind the doors, plus the wardrobes were badly designed with the hanging rail going front to back instead of across.... just me being picky. All in all a great place with the added use of the indoor swimming pool. Planning on coming back next year.

Our welcome pack included all essentials. The new swimming pool and changing facilities were excellent. Well organised to ensure individual use. Would certainly go again. Ray and Margaret

  • "We really enjoyed the stay and would definitely come again."

Two things worth a mention: 1. We didn’t know it was first come first serve for the swimming pool slots. We thought they were allocated to us and so did not select any until a lot of slots were gone. 2. The beach was not a 20 min walk in our opinion and I’d not describe it as a buggy friendly, exactly. We got through but was not easy in some places. It was worth it though as beach is great.

The pathway through the fields was excellent. Quiet area. Good parking. Well equipped although an ice cube tray would be a good addition We stayed 6 years ago and now feel that items like the settee and carpets are showing their age… the carpets at the doorways are getting frayed and the material on the settees are quite worn.

  • "Fantastic location."

The scenery, walks and locality are amazing. Spacious, clean and well finished cottage. Storage in the bedrooms is quite limited, we were ok as only two of us but if there were four could be an issue. We also found the bed quite uncomfortable - definitely needs mattress replacing. The views from lounge more than made up for this however! Would love to stay again soon.

  • "Fabulous cottage, clean & comfortable, faultless, in lovely quiet country side, with sea views."

The swimming pool is to die for, with your own hourly sessions, we didn’t realise that during the “off peak periods”, you book these slots on arrival, and we had planned our days out around these. Don’t be mislead by the 10 minute walk to the beach, we are used to walking and it took us 30 minutes, it’s a pleasant walk, but probably too far for those not used to walking. Considering all the cottages were booked, it didn’t feel at all busy.

All the information about the area and places to visit are provided with lovely views across the farmed fields to Embleton bay inc a sea view. Ideal for walkers who like gentle walks. There are facilities for children in the play area and use of the indoor heated swimming pool which is available on a rota basis for the several cottages on the complex. Embleton is very central to all the places of interest inc all the popular castles and places to eat. Our first visit to Northumberland was not disappointing and we will probably return in the future.

I presumed it was nearer because the brochure said a stroll down a gentle sloping path .we are all pensioners so I suppose a younger person would get there quicker.we didn't make it to the beach after walking for about 30 mins. overall though it was a beautiful place within easy reach of the village.

  • "This complex of accommodations is well situated for a large area of different attractions."

Main concern was the fact that " dip in the newly built swimming pool" was advertised. It did not say it was still being built and the work was going on just outside your cottage, so don't take your swim wear folks. The bedrooms could have used more cloths drawer space and the Kingsize bed mattress was very soft, thin and noisy. They also need to look at what they are paying their "cleaning team" to do, changing beds and towels is not cleaning the cobwebs and dust accumulation. Having said all that, Northhumberland is great, extra woolly necessary but fantastic location.
