"This ‘cottage’ or ‘terraced bungalow’ as I think describes it better was otherwise as described."
Our only criticisms are that there is nowhere pleasant to sit outside other than on a bench next to all the dustbins! There is not a real flower or plant to be seen anywhere The out door areas are barren and completely uninviting. Just one note for the owner - the shower on and off control is very stiff and at times almost impossible to operate. Other than these points the bungalow is very comfortable and fit for purpose and we enjoyed our holiday!

"Very much enjoyed our stay, really pleased with the cottage."
Lovely peaceful location and fantastic views. The king size bed was extremely comfortable. It would have been helpful if we would have had 2 front door keys and not just one. Thank you both, Sykes/Cottage Owners for all you did to make this a really enjoyable and fun holiday,

"This is my first holiday with my wife because of my severe restricted diet although my wife has had holidays with my daughter."
We found the accommodation well supplied with all the equipment necessary for preparing my meals and all other comforts for a relaxing holiday in every way.
The only problem which we had was the high step into the cottage because we are both disabled and would have preferred a "Grab Bar " to assist entry but even so didn't really cause much of a problem. would definitely come again. Yours R Flook

"Toaster did not work."
Likely to be just a blown fuse but should have been tested before we moved in.
One of the outdoor wooden chairs was rotten and broke when sat on. That could be dangerous.
There was a small wooden stool by the dressing table in a bedroom. It was picked up and just fell apart - that could be dangerous.
No bin bags in property so we had to buy our own.
Other than the four issues above, the property was of a very high standard and in an excellent location.

"The cottage was nice but the lounge was uncomfortable-the blankets on the sofas looked dirty and slid around so that we had to take them off."
Needed a rug to make it more cosy. The beds were very comfortable but the duvet cover on the large bed was stained with old blood on the underside. The salt cellar was empty and we were only left with 1 toilet roll for the whole week! Lovely position but shame that all the rooms looked out into walls!

"It was our first visit to Northumberland and definitely won’t be our last."
Dryden cottage was perfect for our half term family break. The cottage was in a great location with great views of Bamburgh castle, and facilities in the cottage were spot on. No complaints, it was great value for money we’ll definitely be returning.

It is so clean and comfortable, with a great layout.
Good parking and a great front and rear gardens.
It has an excellent information pack with everything you need to know about facilities, amenities and everywhere you can visit in Northumberland.
We highly recommend this property and would love to return sometime in the future.

"We stayed for a week in this beautiful cottage."
Very peaceful and an excellent base for exploring Northumberland. The cottage is very well equipped and maintained with the most powerful shower we’ve EVER experienced!
Gave a 4 for comfort because of the sofas, my husband is 6ft 4” and they weren’t quite deep enough (picky I know).
Would 100% recommend and would stay again.

"We enjoyed our stay at Dryden cottage."
Our main problem was the shower tap that I couldn’t t turn on. Had to ask Hubbie to turn the shower on for me each time. We reported this to Sykes cottages and a man came the same day to look at it. He said that the on off valve is very tight and could do with a new one
We also found we couldn’t t get hot water….eventually found a switch on the wall. Information about this would have been helpful
But overall we enjoyed our stay thankyou.

"One of the switches had tripped in the electric cupboard."
We found out 4 hours into our stay and realised the fridge hadn't been working since our arrival. We phoned for help but while waiting managed to work out the solution for ourselves. Not a complaint as such but just a word of caution to ensure these things are checked as it was a stressful start to a much needed break.

"We have stayed at Dryden cottage on several occasions and always found it to be very clean and well presented."
The bed is very comfortable and all amenities on hand to make for a very pleasant and relaxing stay.
An excellent location with fantastic views out to Bamburgh Castle. The cottage is peaceful but well placed to explore the fantastic Northumbrian coastline and surrounding countryside. And Bamburgh village is just a short walk away.
We have another 2 bookings for the remainder of the year and always look forward to returning to this special place.

"A fantastic property, location, and perfect for the capture of the Aurora."
Dryden Cottage was spotlessly clean, warm, and had everything we required. My only niggle, and a small niggle at that. Is it would’ve been nice after a long journey, to have had Tea, Coffee, Milk, and Sugar on arrival for a brew. We would 150% stay again. But please please bigger TV. Thankyou for a lovely stay, and Northumberland experience.

"*we had no wifi our whole stay, we appreciate all efforts that were made by the owner but it resulted in my husband losing a weeks work as sitting in the owners other property that was next door didn't work for us as meant as a family we were seperated from 4pm every day."
*The dishwasher isn't attached to the wall properly and falls forward when opened.
*The kitchen light was very temperamental and didn't turn on every time.
*
I am so sorry the wi-fi was not working during your stay but it was out of my control to get it fixed for you as BT could only give me an appointment for the Saturday after your departure. I have had someone to look at the dishwasher and
to sort the lights out in the kitchen. I really do appreciate your feedback and hope to see you return to Glororum in the future.
