Good location - very good to get to the places we wanted to visit - Durham, Beamish Museum, Ushaw while the nearness of the bus stop to Newcastle was a bonus

  • "Light, roomy and very quiet flat."

We were met by Nigel who explained parking and keys for internal flat door, external doors and entry security gate for the parking. The facilities that we used (shower was excellent) were fine although couldn’t find instructions for microwave. A bit of guess work required. The entry door to the flats, from the road side, was of course meant to shut automatically but rarely did, which was concerning. We phoned Nigel to let him know. The 13 tog duvet was too warm for us but the bed very comfortable. Dining chairs had to be used carefully, as they were on a sprung half swivel, which returned to central point and could catch the back of your legs when getting up . Every self-catering place that we have used, has always provided hand washing liquid. Thankfully the excellent local shop is very near. We were able to purchase hand washing soap and even newspapers. Once again, in every self-catering place, that we’ve stayed in, they have had a useful visitors book, games, books and a bottle of wine, biscuits, crisps, a pint of milk etc but disappointingly not here. We were very impressed with the bus service to Durham and Newcastle. Going out each day we were reassured that our car was safely parked, outside the flat, all week!

  • "Everything as described."

We had to use the heating some evenings due to chilly weather. It was warm within 10 minutes. Ensuite was lovely and the information provided by the owner was very comprehensive. Would highly recommend this property

  • "Had a lovely week in this clean and comfortable apartment."

Felt like a home from home after being shown round by the owner Nigel. Very well located for visiting Durham City, Beamish Museum as well as NT properties Washington Old Hall and Gibside. The coast at Sunderland, Whitburn , Souter Lighthouse (NT) and South Shields are a half hour drive. Excellent meals at the Chester Moor and Le Raj about a mile and a half away. Would definitely recommend and will be booking again next year.

  • "The apartment was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed."

It was easy to find, the owner organised meeting with us on our arrival to give us the keys and explained how everything worked and then left us to enjoy our holiday. The one thing that concerned us slightly is that a couple of the paving stones on the exterior steps were loose and wobbly. Myself and my daughter almost tripped several times on separate occasions. We just needed to be careful but if someone was carrying luggage or shopping etc, there may be a chance of falling. Overall, we had a very enjoyable stay in comfort and clean conditions.

  • "This is the best holiday let I have as yet, visited."

It is spacious, the decor, facilities and level of cleanliness were immaculate. The property is situated within a good distance of exploring the County Durham area, and beyond. Also, there are plenty of shops for self catering needs available in nearby Sacriston.

  • "We had a lovely stay at Eureka mews."

The Host was friendly and helpful. The flat is warm, comfortable and equipped with all you’ll need for your stay. Beds were both very comfortable and plenty of storage in both bedrooms. Area is lovely with some nice countryside around it and Durham Park and Ride only a mile or so up the road. We had a lovely meal at the Red Lion down the road and there is lots to do in the area. The gated parking was an added bonus for total peace of mind (although I had no concerns about the area at all). A lovely stay, thank you.

  • "It was very easy to find, just off the main run from Chester le street to Durham."

Nigel met me and showed me around the flat on arrival and supplied 2 sets of keys and showed me how to work the security gates. Everything was very tidy and comfortable. The whole flat was spotlessly clean. There was ample kitchenware and he supplied tea, sugar, coffee, salt & pepper, hair dryer, and plenty of loo roll. The towels were lovely thick and fluffy and more than needed. Had no problems with the heating and hot water. It was a quiet area in a securely gated plot. The shop a few doors down was well stocked too. We really enjoyed our stay here and have already recommended it to a couple of people. Couldnt fault the place at all. We would certainly go back
