  • "Had an absolutely wonderful stay here and am hoping to return next year."

The house was clean, well stocked with facilities and cosy. It felt like our home rather than a holiday let. The owner has put a lot of effort into this property and takes a pride in how she presents it. Highly recommended. The local area is lovely and as we are national trust members there is plenty to do. Durham is beautiful and well worth a visit. We had a meal at the Pub and Kitchen in Cassop and their Sunday roast was fabulous! Many thanks and hope to see you next year.

  • "We had a great stay at this lovely comfortable, warm, clean, well equipped home from home."

Quiet & convenient location. Maybe useful info: My husband needs a bath for pain relief, this didn’t work for us due to the narrow bath with taps at the opposite end of the shower. This is not a criticism, just may be helpful info to note.

Hi. Thank you so much for your positive feedback. I’m so glad you enjoyed your stay and hope to welcome you back soon. Property Owner

  • "Excellent condition of house."

Thoughtful box of basics to help with the food for week, Surprised no salt or pepper but otherwise very pleased. I needed to clean the bath as water was not running away but after cleaning the plug hole of hair and things all was well.great location and very comfortable. The light outside was very sensitive to traffic! A good base to explore the district.

Hi. Thank you for your feedback. I am so sorry you had to clear the plug hole in the bath, this will be mentioned to cleaners as something to keep an eye on at each clean. Regarding salt and pepper, I don’t like to leave food items that can be opened and re-used by different guests and are are not newly packaged, i.e. the welcome pack, bread, milk, buscuits etc. Hopefully these issues will not prevent you from returning again. • "While waiting for our new house to be built, we have stayed in several short-term lets."

195 Durham Road was by far the nicest place. It was really comfortable, well appointed and thoughtfully equipped. Ann Robson takes particular pride in ensuring that her guests are happy. We particularly appreciated the really comfortable super-king size bed. We initially booked for four weeks, but liked the property so much, we extended our stay to nearly three months. We would highly recommend this property.

Thank you so much for your really positive review. I hope you have both settled into and are enjoying your new home. Property Owner
