The property

Resting in the heart of picturesque Warkworth in Northumberland, Westhill House is a charming Grade II listed cottage which has been lovingly restored and offers spacious and well-presented accommodation, perfect for a family holiday or small group of friends holidaying together.

Stepping into the attractive sitting room and your holiday can begin with comfy seating inviting guests to come in, kick off their shoes and relax in front of the gorgeous woodburning stove.

This is somewhere you can imagine spending a lot of time during your holiday catching up with each other and getting warm in the cooler months.

The fully fitted kitchen is a chef’s delight with a range cooker just waiting to be utilised and when the food is ready to serve up, take a seat in the dining room at the rustic dining table located in front of stylish French doors opening onto the gardens at the rear of the property.

Look forward to tucking into long, leisurely meals together here in the dining room or if the weather allows, then you can eat alfresco in the ample gardens which are set up ready for guests to enjoy spending time, whether it’s running around on the lawns for the kids (and any pets!) or taking a seat on a lounger or at the patio table for the grown-ups.

All that fresh air will have tired everyone out, so you’ll be delighted to know there are three elegant bedrooms for guests to choose from, two king-sizes and a single.

All offer a restful sanctuary which is ideal for laying your weary heads after an exhausting day of exploring.

In the morning, take advantage of the spacious bathrooms by enjoying a long, relaxing soak in the bath or a quick, refreshing dip in the shower.

Heading out from Westhill House couldn’t be easier with the delights of Warkworth on the doorstep, which is known for being home to the dramatic ruins of a 12th century castle.

Its link to the past continues with the village’s selection of antique shops and galleries and it also has a beach and a golf course.

Attractions in the area worth visiting include Hadrian’s Wall, Bamburgh Castle, Holy Island, the Farne Islands and Alnwick Gardens.

Other beaches nearby worth packing a bucket and spade for include Alnmouth, Cresswell, Embleton and Newton Haven.

A grand and stylish holiday home in the heart of a bustling coastal village, Westhill House offers its guests a wonderful and unforgettable holiday destination.

Lying in the loop of the River Coquet on the Heritage Coast, Warkworth is a picturesque village, dominated by the dramatic ruins of its 12th century castle.
