  Everything needed was provided. Only a 2 minute walk to the local dog friendly part of the beach. 10 minute drive to Cresswell and Druridge Bay Beach which I highly recommend for dogs.

• "Our third time, and we’re looking to book next year too!"

  Perfect for our (getting older) GSD which makes it relaxing for us. The only thing which would make it even more comfortable would be additional/ different garden furniture; the bench is ok for a while but soon gets uncomfortable even with the cushions. As we’re spending more time ‘at home’ with our GSD (and my mum!) we’d like to be able to relax in the garden with our books for longer.

  Sandy Toe’s is a lovely house, clean and comfortable with everything you need for your holiday. It is a great location for visiting other places around Newbiggin by the sea that are not far away or just stay in Newbiggin, it’s a quiet place to be, with plenty of pubs cafe’s and shops.

• "We have a lovley holiday in Sandy Toes."

  Very comforable, warm and welcoming. Everything we needed. If we come that way again Sandy Toes is the cottage we would book. Would like to mention a concern that we had there was a smell in the kitchen (I would point out it is very, very clean) its around the fridge area and back door, it got worse as the week went on and got better after the heavy rain on Wednesday, we suspect it was the drains. Not a complaint but something I think you should be aware of as it greets you when returning from a day out!

  Cottage was very comfortable and well equipped. Particularly enjoyed the courtyard, it was lovely to sit out in the evening to enjoy the last of the sun. Would definitely recommend to friends.

  The cottage has everything you need just take clothes and food and you are sorted. People on the street are friendly, and so are the locals in Newbiggin. We can not wait to go back.

  Close to the very nice beach. Maybe could use blackout curtains in bedroom as light outside shines in the room. Had a good time.

• "Really enjoyed our stay at Sandy Toes with our dog."

  Comfortable and clean cottage with everything you need, in a quiet location and only a short walk to the dog friendly area of the beach. I was a bit worried about the on-road parking as it’s unrestricted and being so close to the beach I thought people might park there on days out, but that wasn’t the case at all and we were there during school holidays. We were able to park directly outside the cottage no problem.

  Perfect location for the promenade, beach and access to shops & cafes etc. Very clean and well maintained. The sofas aren't all that comfortable but that would be our only comment. Otherwise, it was really super!

  Other than the fact I wouldn't describe it as a cottage! Perhaps because we live in one! Sandy Toes is a very comfortable, cosy and well equipped property, providing every thing we needed for a lovely holiday week. One of its greatest attractions is it's proximity to the beach with lovely walks along the sea front where there are several options for a coffee, snack, drink and the best ice-cream! Our property was originally built to house workers in the surrounding mining villages, these rows of terraced houses were known as miners cottages, thats why we call it a cottage, which is very specific to this area, and unlike the typical ‘chocolate box ‘ cottage people often envisage. • "We love this cottage ."

  Step inside and its clear the amount of work and attention to detail the owner has put into the renovation with a lot of the original features being retained . Maybe ,as its a terraced house it reminds me of the home I was brought up in . Its warm and cosy on cold evenings , the TV has Sky and Netflix and the lovely beach is just around the corner , just nothing to fault whatsoever . The owner is very helpfull as well . We will certainly be returning .
