  • "We have stayed twice previously in the other flat in the building that Steve owns but this was the first time in the penthouse."

The penthouse flat is more spacious and has amazing views over the mouth of the Tyne and South Shields. The location is superb with the facilities of Tynemouth literally on the doorstep. A parking permit provided is a very useful bonus. As usual, there was a warm welcome from Steve to let us into the flat and provide the necessary information for our stay.

The property

Tynemouth Village Penthouse is an elegantly-styled penthouse nestled across the third and fourth floors in a historic Georgian building in the heart of the seaside town of Tynemouth, in the North East region of England.

This property is perfect for anyone looking to explore this wonderful location and benefits from being within striking distance of a range of tourist attractions.

Climb the steps to the third floor and find a stunning and spacious kitchen/diner with breath-taking sea views.

Doors lead out from here, to a delightful balcony where you can take a cup of tea in the morning and watch the sunrise over the sea and historic Tynemouth Priory.

On return from one of your adventures, you can rustle up a hearty meal in the fully-equipped kitchen and get everyone together at the dining table to tuck in and toast to a wonderful holiday with a glass of champagne which you can also take into the grand Georgian sitting room with views over the village.

Up a smaller set of stairs to a half landing, you will discover a super-king-size bedroom and steps lead up again to the fourth floor which also holds two super-king-sizes bedrooms, each with zip and link features and can be separated into single beds upon request, ideal for flexible sleeping arrangements.

Tynemouth was voted the best place to live in the North of England in the Sunday Times 2018 awards and is an excellent choice for a holiday due to its coastal location and easy access to three nearby beaches including Tynemouth Beach, King Edward's Bay or Long Sands Beach, all giving the opportunity for swimming, surfing, or playing a variety of beach games.

For a spot of history, venture towards the ruins of Tynemouth Priory and Castle, or the ancient fortification of Arbeia in South Shields.

One of the many attractions include the nationally famous Riley’s Fish Shack, and the property is also a mere stone’s throw from a number of quality restaurants and wine bars, as well as kayaking, surfing, and cycling hire being available within close proximity.

Tynemouth Aquarium is perfect for your little ones, as is Tynemouth Park which has family mini golf, a soft play area and even a boating lake.

Tynemouth Village Penthouse is a refreshing getaway for a couple or family looking to explore this wonderful part of the country.

Note: This property can be booked with Lovatt House Apartment (Ref. 989529), together sleeping up to 10 guests, perfect for the extended family as it is directly below Tynemouth Village Penthouse.
