  • "The house is well equipped but smelt stale and needed to be aired."

The parking was an absolute joke - a very small space at the rear of the house. If all the other properties in the terrace had been occupied we could not have parked at all. Suggest you are more honest about the parking arrangements.

  • "We had a lovely few days at Kittewake cottage."

Perfect location and the cottage was spotless and very comfortable. We had no problem at all with the parking at the rear of the cottage. We were very lucky with the weather but Seahouses would be great at anytime. It’s a few minutes walk to the beach, good pubs and restaurants. I highly recommend.

  • "A beautiful little cottage, very well equipped."

Close to several fabulous places to eat, a perfect base for our first trip to Northumberland.

  • "Very clean and comfortable and warm."

Our 2nd visit to Seahouses and we used public transport to go to all the places we wanted to re visit. We love this part of the North East and would use this cottage again as so convenient for all amnesties, shops buses and eatery's.

  • "The cottage is great and very well equipped, with true consideration given to comfort and quality."

The only issues relate to the parking space at the rear. It doesn't really work given that you need to move your car every time the neighbour at no 5 wants to go in or out. The parking permit is therefore essential and very welcome. Increasing rental costs are now also an issue and we will no longer be booking holiday cottages in the UK.

  • "Lovely cosy cottage."

Beautifully decorated throughout. The car parking pass was great for travelling around and we had fabulous visits to Alnwick and Holy Island. The only slight things that stop it being 10 out of 10 was adjusting the temperature easily in both the shower and storage heaters (we weren’t not expecting such cold weather - the wood burner helped!) We would definitely recommend the property Thanks

  • "Comfy, clean and cosy, the cottage was just as advertised."

It was very well equipped and the parking permit was a godsend, we found the access to the allocated parking space at the rear of the cottage a bit tight to get out onto the street so used the permit to park in the nearby public car park. I would recommend unloading at the front of the property on arrival (double yellow lines) then pick up the parking permit and leave your car in the public car park a couple of streets away if in doubt. Thanks for the little touches such as the local books and maps and recommendations for local eateries.

It is so comfortable and the fire is fantastic. We had a great time thank you and we will be back. The use of the parking permits are really handy.

  • "Lovely place to stay."

Not far from the centre of things and the beach is a 15 minute stroll. 2 pubs at the bottom of the street. The property is cosy home from home with a well equipped kitchen.

  • "We had a wonderful two weeks at Kittiwake Cottage."

The cottage is in a great location where you can walk to beaches, pubs and around the corner the high street with everything you need. The lovely touches in the cottage such as the soft blankets on the chairs and cosy lighting plus extremely comfortable beds were excellent. An extra nice touch was the parking permit which was included.

Dear Katie, Thank you for your lovely feedback about the cottage, we are pleased that you had a great holiday and look forward to welcoming you back again in the future, Andy and Sarah Property Owner

One suggestion would be for blackout blinds in the bedrooms.

Dear Julian, Thank you for you lovely feedback. We’re really pleased that you had a lovely stay at Kittiwake Cottage. Your suggestion of the blackout blinds for the bedrooms is appreciated and is something that we’ll look into. We look forward to welcoming you back at Kittiwake in the future, Andy and Sarah. • "We were delighted with cottage, cleanliness and decor."

This was marred however by 13.5 tog duvets which meant we were too warm to sleep

Dear Peter, thank you for taking the time to provide feedback. We’re really pleased that you enjoyed your stay at Kittiwake Cottage. We also appreciate you highlighting the thickness of the duvet, and as a result we’ll look to obtaining thinner spare duvets for each room for guests to use if they get too hot. We hope to welcome you back at Kittiwake soon, Andy and Sarah Property Owner

  • "Had a lovely stay in the cottage, parking is definitely an issue although the parking permit compensated for this, the shower was the main issue as it had no power at all, the best was a constant dribble, not ideal if you had long thick hair!"

The surrounding areas were a delight and was lovely to be so close to the sea.

Dear Patricia. Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback. We’re delighted that you had a lovely stay at Kittiwake Cottage and that you made use of the complementary parking permit. We really appreciate your feedback on the shower, and it is something that we’ll look to address. We hope to welcome you back to Kittiwake in the future, Andy and Sarah Property Owner

  • "The property was very clean and comfortable, and is ideally situated in Seahouses."

Our only issue was the parking, we could park easily, but when the cottage next door became occupied they could not park to unload. So I pulled forward to let them in, but due to the bench/planter in front of the parking spot I could not swing my car back in. Once the people next door had offloaded their luggage, they kindly moved their car and parked it somewhere else for the rest of the week. If not, then I would not have been able to park, but this is solely due to the bench/planter, in my opinion this should be removed. Everything else was perfect, including the weather and we will definitely be returning to Northumberland. Thank you for letting us rent your beautiful cottage. Kind Regards, Stewart

Dear Stewart, thank you for your kind feedback about the cottage, we are glad that you enjoyed your stay and hope to welcome you back again. We appreciate your feedback about the parking and will continue to provide a parking permit for guests as an alternative. Thank You, Andy and Sarah Property Owner

  • "Everything was good."

Our only gripe is that the private parking at the rear is virtually unusable except possibly by the smallest of cars. if the 2 spaces (no. 5 and no. 7) were both in use one car would be blocked in and when leaving the ginnel at the far end the corner is impossibly tight. I did a 25 point turn with the aid of the people in the end cottage and still managed to scrape the car. However we appreciated the permit you provided for the town car park which we used most of the time.

Thank you for your feedback. We are pleased that everything about the cottage itself was good. We are sorry to hear about your experience with the parking, however, and as a result we are updating our cottage guide to advise customers to enter the parking area via the Dunstan view road and to exit via King street as that will avoid the difficulties with the sharp corner. We are also pleased that you made use of the complimentary parking permit and hope that you made use of it in other car parks along the coast during your holiday. We hope to welcome you back again in the future. Kind regards, Andy & Sarah Property Owner
