Perfect little quiet retreat, far away enough from everything to feel on holiday, close enough to be able to do anything we wanted

  • "We had a very enjoyable stay, away from traffic noise etc."

we were greeted with half a dozen eggs from the resident egg layers, the home made cake was delicious, the beds super comfy. We had the impression that they wanted to do their best for us. Would we go again? In a shot.

  • "A very pleasant property on an active arable farm located next door to other barn conversions."

Property owners live in the adjacent farmhouse and are able to help with any problems. It is in a very quiet area with plenty of footpaths to enable you to explore the countryside and watch the wildlife. However it takes only 8 minutes to reach Beamish and very easy routes to go to Gateshead, Newcastle or Durham. Well worthy of another visit.

  • "A fabulous place to stay."

Very quiet and out of the way. The road leading to the property was lovely and smooth, the cottage was in a close proximity to shops, Beamish and Newcastle too. A warm welcome was given by the owner when we arrived and the cake was excellent. Definitely recommend this property.

  • "Ideal location for cities, countryside and coast."

A beautiful cottage and we enjoyed feeding the chickens. It would have been helpful to be advised to turn off A1M at junction 67 as well as the name of the junction. We could definitely not have crept about as the floorboards creaked. Would definitely re-visit if we go to the area again.
