  • "A beautiful, modern and tastefully decorated apartment set in the heart of Warkworth village."

A superb location and the flat had everything you needed, including the biggest DVD and games selection you could wish for! We would definitely recommend and hope to book again in the near future. The owners were very respectful of our space, despite owning the pub next door and communication was great both for finding the apartment and afterwards when we’d left an item behind. Thanks again! We had a wonderful holiday.

Very good WiFi, tv and standard of furniture and fittings. Handy for great pub grub at the Masons Arms.

Toilet seat needs fixing . Water runs away even with plug in in the washbasin in bathroom . Could always hear the tv from below above ours along with the smell of tobacco smoke coming up

  • "Rivershield was better than we anticipated, great location and very comfortable."

It was really well equipped, there was nothing we wanted for at all. There were only two of us staying which was great, if we had brought our teenagers with us I think we may have been a little cramped particularly when it came to dining in. However there were some great pubs very close and they are dog friendly and serve excellent meals.

  • "Unfortunately the apartment stay was spoilt by the strong smell of stale cigarette smoke which I can only assume was coming up from the apartment below."

The clothes smelt of it when I got home which reflects how strong the smell was. The mattress was also very thin and my partner found the bed difficult to sleep on. These two things spoilt a lovely apartment

  • "A well situated property for exploring Northumbria, spacious, very clean and well maintained."

It overlooks the pub beer garden which caused us some concern but despite our stay coinciding with a very warm dry bank Holiday, once inside the flat, there was no noise and the beer garden seemed to empty by 9p.m. The flat is well equipped with all the domestic appliances you need and comfortable furnishings. The only criticism I have is that, although there is plenty of information provided, it is not necessarily consistent. There seemed to be 3 different versions of what to do when leaving. If we were to visit Northumberland again, Rivershield Cottage would be top of our list to book.

  • "We were very pleased with the flat which was the best equipped self catering property that we have stayed in."

Just a couple of thing to point out. We think it should be made clearer that the property doesn't have a designated parking place and the bed could have a firmer mattress. We woke up with aches and pains in the morning which we didn't have at the other places we stayed at on our trip. However that could be due to our advancing years! We really enjoyed our stay and Warkworth is as beautiful as we remember it.

  • "Fantastic apartment."

Very clean and well maintained. Lovely base to explore the area. We spent 2 weeks here and it was a home from home. The apartment is fully kitted out for a short stay or longer stay like ours. The owners were friendly and helpful. If we want to stay in Warkworth, we'd definitely stay here again.
