  • "Nice little cottage with all mod cons and we had a very enjoyable stay."

Bedding and towels provided which is a plus. Ideally situated for exploring Northumberland and all it has to offer. Only small grip is that the bathroom could do with a couple of hooks for hanging things on. Would recommend and shall be returning.

  • "Hethpool was beautiful."

Very nicely decorated and very clean. Great location for visiting Northumberland. We had two meals at the tankerville Arms which were beautiful

  • "A lovely cosy little cottage."

It looks quite new, and was clean and tidy. Towels and bed linen were of good quality. Bed comfortable. Simply furnished but no hanging space apart from over-door hooks. Settees were comfortable but dining table and benches were a bit flimsy. Nice to have the private outdoor space. For the property owners only (not to be published): 2 things to report - the code for the door key box was 4000, not 400 as stated on the information sheet. The oven is not fixed into its cabinet, and if you pull hard to open the oven door, the whole oven comes out of the cabinet. And the kitchen clock needs a new battery!

  • "We watched the properties being converted when we lived in the North."

They are nicely decorated, hold just the right amount of kitchen gear, were warm and comfortable. Clean and well maintained we expect to be back in the new year

  • "Cottage was clean and comfortable, but a wardrobe to hang clothes would have being preferable to hanging them on back of doors."

Table in twin bedroom could be removed, as it serves no purpose as their is no chair, chest of drawers could be moved to replace it and a small wardrobe could be put on landing. A minor thing plastic flowers look tacky.

  • "An ideal holiday let."

The property was just right for our needs and the location of Wooler gives you a good base for exploring a large chunk of Northumberland. The 'super days out' leaflet provided by the hotel was a nice touch and gave us some excellent adventures. Wayne

  • "I get the impression this holiday cottage hasn’t been open for long."

Manufactures labels were still stuck to windows which hadn’t been cleaned properly and pink plaster hadn’t been washed off the french windows. The cottage was comfortable and we enjoyed our stay but it doesn’t come up to the quality of the cottages we usually stay in. Whilst it was equipped adequately with good quality kitchen utensils etc it was very sparse. No cafetière or similar and no chairs for the little courtyard garden - two essentials in this day and age. Beds were very comfortable and the bedrooms were both cosy with plenty if storage.
