  • "We celebrated a family birthday at the cottage and were really impressed with everything, the cottage is gorgeous (I don’t think the photos online reflect how lovely it is), the facilities kept everyone entertained and we had the most wonderful weekend together."

Highly recommend if you’re looking for a luxury cottage in the middle of no where to relax and spend time together. Huge thank you to the owners

Where you’ll be staying

CHEDDLETON

Leek 3.5 miles; Stoke-on-Trent 9.2 miles; Alton 12 miles.

The lovely, traditional Staffordshire village of Cheddleton is situated in the Staffordshire Moorlands, near to the market town of Leek, with a handful of shops, pubs serving food and a lovely restaurant. Visit the nearby Churnet Valley Railway, originally opened in 1849, and now a lovely attraction for steam enthusiasts and families alike. The Cheddleton Flint Mill is a prime example of Staffordshire's industrial past, a flint-grinding watermill previously used for supplying the pottery industry further along the canal in Stoke-on-Trent. Nearby is Leek, surrounded by lovely moorland countryside. The town has a charming cobbled market place and many examples of fine Victorian architecture - a reminder of the town’s prosperity when it was renowned as a silk manufacturing centre. Today Leek offers a wide selection of shops including vast antique emporiums, bookshops and galleries and a good selection of restaurants and real ale pubs. Thrill seeking at Alton Towers which is easily accessible by car, a variety of walks, cycle routes, rock climbing on the Roaches and the area’s wealth of historic houses ensure visitors will be returning again and again!
