Poole's Cavern is a great place for Geology Enthusiasts to appreciate the stalagmite and stalactite shapes, you could book a tour guide and around Christmas, kids may encounter Santa.

If you fancy a hike visit the secret valley at Cave Dale, and enjoy the walk as you discover the ruined castle remains.

Known as the Gateway to the Goyt Valley, Whaley Bridge is a lovely little town in the High Peak. Passing by the station, with its’ links to Buxton and Manchester Piccadilly, Whaley Bridge town centre is just a short stroll away. A range of local businesses include food and convenience stores. Pubs, restaurants and takeaways in the town provide great options when you don't feel like cooking. Chapel-en-le-Frith, known as the Capital of the Peak, is only a short drive away, boasting a cobbled market place and historic old stocks. Within easy driving distance is the delightful spa town of Buxton, famous not only for its therapeutic spring water, but also for its Pavilion Gardens and splendid Victorian Opera House. Within easy driving distance are the Blue John Cavern show caves at Castleton and many stately homes, such as Chatsworth House and Lyme Park.
