  • "Travelling to family in Cheshire from Cornwall is a long journey so when we found this little gem of a place we booked it then extended it by 3 days before we set off."

Living in a bungalow of our own its hard to find a holiday cottage/bungalow that is just perfect for us both and the 2 dogs who loved their holiday too. Quiet and cosy no noisy neighbours and easy access to where ever you wish to meet with family or a well stocked kitchen when we cooked a family meal for my 64th birthday. My grand daughters drove to see us which was lovely and my youngest grandchildren too so there is plenty of space in the huge front room and easy to the kitchen too. looking forward to staying again later on in the year if we can book the weeks needed. Thank you for a lovely stay at your special bungalow. Lynn and Harry Poppy and Rupert - our 2 Dalmatians.

oh wow this is so wonderful to read and am absolutely delighted that you had a great family time and found our bungalow met you needs....please do rebook and look forward to welcoming you back with pleasure....Cheers Anne Property Owner

Great base for North Wales, Wirral, Merseyside. Very comfy and accessable property. Really enjoyed our stay. Would benefit from info regarding heating, bin days etc.

  • "A lovely, comfortable bungalow which is well situated to reach places of interest but is in a peaceful location."

I would recommend leaving a copy of the guest information in the property for those who do not g et t it sent by the booking company. Thanks Alan for talking us through getting the heating going and trying to email the guest information which unfortunately didn’t get through. Hopefully we left everything clean and tidy for you.

  • "Had pleasant stay despite weather."

Had to leave early due to problem at home. The small fridge might be a problem for a larger group and very low for anyone with mobility issues.

Hi David A brand new large fridge freezer is located in the garage for guests use.. Cheers Anne Property Owner

  • "The cottage is generally very well appointed and the secure garden (we did pop the hose reel in front of the side gate) is a boon for the dogs."

I missed a dishwasher, even a slimline one, and will read more carefully about appliances in future. Also a larder fridge might have been preferable to the diddy fridge/freezer that entailed going on hands and knees to find things. We did use the freezer, but would happily have gone into the garage to access one. But these are minor considerations as it was great to have somewhere that would take two dogs, and the walks in the area are really good.

Hi Diana There is a brand new large fridge freezer in the garage for guests to use..apologies as you were obviously not made aware of this. Regards Anne Property Owner

  • "The fact that this was our seventh stay in three years, says it all really and we have already booked a week in 2024!"

Crummock is fairly priced for what it offers and we use it for visiting our family in our original home town of Frodsham so it perfect for us. Our two dogs think of it as their second home now and the walks, right on the doorstep and in the surrounding Cheshire countryside, are great. Frodsham offers supermarkets, pubs restaurants and a weekly street market. There are many attractions within easy travelling distance of the property.

  • "Heating Boiler Error code on Thursday so no hot water."

    Came home a day early.

Hi I responded to your message within 25 minutes and also messaged you again. My husband also phoned and messaged you and we received no response . The boiler was a very quick 5 minute fix which could've been easily remedied and could have avoided you leaving early. Thanks Anne Property Owner

  • "The bungalow generally suited us well ( we are two adults and one dog) and we liked the layout of the rooms."

Also we were able to sit outside in the small back garden a few times to enjoy the sun. It was early April and so evenings were chilly and we needed the heating on. We did have some difficulty in switching the heating on given that the controls are at the back of a dark cupboard. The kitchen was generally well equipped apart from lack of teaspoons(only 2 found) and table knives.

Hello thankyou for your positive feedback. I don't know what's happened to the cutlery there has been plenty there previously, there is however a full canteen of brand new cutlery on the unit in the dining area for use. Sorry about accessing the boiler in the cupboard , we will remedy the light in there as a priority. Cheers Anne Property Owner

  • "We found the lightweight shower head very difficult to set to a comfortable temperature and pressure setting."

Perhaps an electric shower to replace the mixer tap would be a great improvement. The property is a little tired and in need of decoration. However it is in a nice position has a very spacious Lounge, great heating (almost too hot in very cold weather) and comfortable beds. The kitchen fridge seemed very small then the owner, who visited to set up TV on Wifi said they had a much larger fridge freezer in the garage. So we used that and solved the problem.

Hello thankyou for your feedback, points noted on shower..decoration is planned for later this year. Thanks Anne Property Owner
