"The cottage served our purpose for visiting Bollington."
Compact and clean, and adequate housewares. Mattress has seen better days! There were no instructions for leaving the property and few bin bags provided especially with a 14 day stay. Like others have mentioned parking was tight and one neighbour not very accommodating.

"Perfect for our needs."
Lovely location, but shops in easy range and plenty of interesting places for walks or rainy days.

"This is the second time we have stayed at 3 Higher Lane and feel that it was not as good as the first stay."
On arrival we were very disappointed at the neglectful state of the garden. It looked nothing like the picture above. The grass was uncut this year and the weeds covered the patio area. The kitchen clock was not working, nor the bedside light, which had been mentioned before. We tried to make contact with the owner and have had no reply.

"Listing should highlight in the bullet points that it is parking for 1 SMALL car and that there is a freezing compartment in the fridge."
We found the parking difficult. We were disappointed that there were no facilities for recycling and would have appreciated a few more instructions on how to use items.

"Fantastic, cosy little cottage for 2 people in a lovely location in the hamlet of Kerridge on the edge of Bollington."
Everything you need, but not too big to rattle around. Welcoming, pleasantly furnished and super clean. Plentiful hot water and heating. Nice local walks from the cottage for leisure along the canal, up White Nancy behind the cottage or down into the town for shopping. Handy pub. Easy access to walks in the Peak District or the sights of Cheshire and Manchester. We enjoyed an evening in Manchester, taking the train from Macclesfield. Advance guidance about exactly how to park at the cottage (smaller vehicles) would be useful, along with suggestion for parking for larger vehicles. Maybe a diagram sent a couple of days in advance?

Good location for enjoying the surrounding countryside. Parking OK if you are sensible with reversing!.

"Lovely cottage very well appointed with quality and class!"
Great location for Macclesfield and surrounds, I was there for work so didn’t visit tourist sites but plenty of scope for good long walks in quiet village and surrounds. Clean and cosy with everything you need and a nice welcome pack, make for a very pleasant stay.

About the location
BOLLINGTON
Macclesfield 4 miles; Buxton 13 miles; Manchester 20 miles.
Where the Cheshire plains meet the peaks in the “Happy Valley” sits the delightful town of Bollington. With a rich heritage in the cotton spinning industry, there’s still plenty of surviving mills and a network of canals. Standing high above the town on Kerridge Hill is the landmark of “White Nancy” built in 1817 to commemorate the victory at the Battle of Waterloo. Today the town is a thriving community within the Manchester commuter belt resulting in a very bohemian atmosphere. Unlike most places, there are still plenty of busy pubs and a bounty of eateries, bars and cafés. It’s a very short hop to the bustling city of Manchester or the majesty and breathtaking beauty of the Peak District National Park.
