"Timadon Cottage was absolutely fabulous."
It was decorated and finished to the highest of standards. It was so well equipped with everything you could think of needing. We felt so comfortable and at home. We stayed for 4 nights and wished we had booked longer! The fresh farm eggs, milk and cookies that were left for us was such a lovely touch. We would definitely like to return in the future and would highly recommend the cottage to anyone wishing to stay in this area.

"A second visit to Timadon and another enjoyable week."
Timadon is a comfortable cottage where you can relax in a peaceful and ideal location. Whilst you can enjoy the countryside on the doorstep, like us you can also hop over the border to scenic North Wales ,or visit Chester and Manchester for sightseeing and shopping. The hosts are friendly but not intrusive. We thank them for their hospitality and lovely eggs.

We would certainly recommend it and will use it ourselves again.

"Lovely cottage in an ideal location for getting around to interesting locations."
The facilities within the cottage are very good with very comfortable beds. Nice area at rear where you can sit out and enjoy the sun. Would highly recommend this property.

"We had a lovely stay at Timadon Cottage, ideal for our young family (children aged 1."
5 and 5.5) and were thankful for the travel cot and highchair supplied. The cottage was ideally located for us to be able to get to Chester Zoo, BewilderWood and The Ice Cream farm all within 30 minutes drive. The owners kindly left us some yummy farm eggs and milk for our first morning which was a nice touch. The cottage itself was really well equipped, even with toddler crockery and cutlery. It was a shame there wasn't a bath in the large bathroom (the 1 year old didn't like the shower!) but we knew that when booking and took the risk. We would recommend The Goshawk to anyone staying, a lovely pub, family friendly, not far at all and with a play-park so ticked all the boxes for us! We would definitely book again and have already recommended the cottage to friends and family.

"Lovely cottage, perfect location for exploring the area."
Very clean and comfortable. Single beds were a bit cramped for one of our adult daughters who is quite tall for British standards. Good kitchen but nice pubs and restaurants within 10 minutes. We particularly liked Cornichon in Tarvin. Cottage had plenty of room for all of us, good wifi (!) and nice outdoor area. Highly recommended.

"We had a wonderful week at Timadon cottage."
The area around the cottage is idyllic with lovely walks and peaceful countryside. Yet 8 miles down the road is Chester with all its amenities and gateway to North Wales. The cottage is extremely comfortable and we were grateful for the hospitality shown by the owners, Ann-Marie and Simon. We will return.

"Very comfortable stay, well equipped."
Great base for touring the local area with some great walks. A welcome pack of milk, eggs and biscuits much appreciated. As a minor comment, it would be useful to have an additional table lamp in the living area.
-
"A very comfortable and warm hideaway in the midst of winter."
The place was clean and everything worked perfectly. The only minor criticism we have is that the cottage does not have a dishwasher.
-
"Lovely cottage."
Spotless. Felt at home. Not cluttered like some cottages. Will visit again
-
"We found the property well appointed, clean with all the mod cons you could wish."
The property is ideally located for the Delamere forest and the City of Chester.
-
"Excellent property in a beautiful location with fab doorstep walks…."
Cottage was very clean, beautifully decorated and had everything you need for a break away… would highly recommend it.
-
"A superb holiday accommodation."
Quiet and perfect location. Super quality bedding and towels.the whole experience was first class. We travelled from France and were able to book for 10 days, so helpful for us. Lovely, welcoming milk and eggs, we could have delicious, poached, very fresh eggs. We have stayed over the years at many holiday cottages. This is absolutely first class. Our hosts were simply THE BEST. Next time we come to the UK we hope to be lucky enough to stay at Timadon Cottage. Highest recommendation, wonderful. Anne Marie and Simon, thank you so very much!

"Great 2 bedroom accommodation all on ground floor, excellent kitchen facilities and lounge."
Easy parking for several cars. Lovely location, nice walks around house but also in the Delamere Forest nearby, with Chester not far away. Highly recommend.
-
"We had a great time , Annemarie was most helpful and the cottage was excellent."
Train station close by which gave easy access to Chester. There is a pub ( the goshawk ) within easy walking distance and the food is excellent. The cottage was very clean and comfortable and can recommend it.
-
"Excellent, spacious and comfortable cottage in a quiet rural location close to Delamere Forest."
Everything is pristine and top quality giving a luxurious feel. Highly recommended. The owners are extremely helpful and friendly. Thank you.

"Lovely property and perfectly clean and tidy."
Timadon Cottage had everything we needed for a home from home stay. The owners were both lovely and helpful and lovely touches leaving eggs and milk from the farm. A nice out the way cottage to come back to after the hustle and bustle of busy days out around Chester and ideally located only a few mins from main roads leading into Chester and Cheshire Oaks so lots to do and loads of places to eat out. Walking distance to a local pub also and only a few minutes from the lovely Delemare forest walks. We would definitely stay at Timadon cottage again. Thank you

Decor and finishings very modern and all worked great. - Lots of nice thoughtful touches like local milk and eggs from the farm. - Very peaceful location - next to lovely countryside. - Great location for getting into Chester and nearby for family activities. - Already planning our next stay!

"Highly recommended clean comfortable well designed cottage."
Beautiful furnishings, very comfortable beds. Pub and railway station 1mile easy to reach, hourly trains to Chester and Manchester. Community shop for essentials. Lovely walks. Delamere forest nearby. Need a car. Owners nearby and will assist with any queries, friendly and approachable. A very enjoyable experience and the place to stay if you wish to experience the beauty of Cheshire.

"We had a wonderful stay at Timadon Cottage it is beautifully decorated and finished to a high standard, everything you need is there for a fantastic stay ."
There are a few local pubs and the closest one is 0.6 of a mile on a very quiet perfectly safe road if you want to walk we visited this pub twice during our stay. The owners stay close by we only spoke to them a couple of times they just wanted to make sure we had everything we needed as they are new to holiday letting. We loved the area there is a train station close by as well which would take you to Chester and Manchester. I really can't think of any negative comments.
-
"Excellent for a short break - we really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend it to friends and family."
The only slight "downer" (for us anyway) was the fairly secluded location which meant that every trip out had to be in the car e.g. no pub or restaurant within safe walking distance . This property sets a very high standard which, I think, will be difficult to meet or exceed in any future booking with Sykes Holiday Cottages.

"We had a wonderful stay at Timadon Cottage."
It is immaculate. Thank you to Annmarie for making our stay so comfortable and being so accommodating throughout. Highly recommended.
-

-
"Timadon Cottage is perfect it had everything we needed."
Beautiful setting & beautiful cottage. We didn't meet the owners but they left us a lovely note welcoming us with fresh eggs from their farm. We would like to thank them for our lovely break. We hope to return in the future

"This is a fabulous little cottage."
Perfect for a family of four. From the lovely touch of Easter goodies when we arrived, to the fresh, clean and modern decor. The thoughtful touches of games for the children to play with went down a storm. The location is great too. We are a family of 4 with a 5 and 2 year old and we walked to the local pub at Mouldsworth for a tasty Sunday lunch and play area for the children and also walked to the train station for a car free visit into Chester - the kids love travelling on the train. As keen runners both my husband and I had very scenic runs in the vicinity taking in the Delamere Forest. If we had more time would have been a good adventure spot with the kids. Excellent hosts and will certainly look at returning of we plan another stay locally. Will be recommending Timadon Cottage to our friends and family.

"We had a fabulous stay at Timadon cottage."
The cottage itself is well equipped, comfortable and spacious. The owners are very hospitable and friendly, allowing our children (4 and 6) to meet the animals on the farm, which made our stay! The local farm eggs were the best we’ve tasted and a nice welcome gift. The location itself is great, with lots of fun days out within easy reach via car. We can’t wait to return back to Timadon…we didn’t want to leave.

About the location
KELSALL
Chester 8 miles.
The village of Kelsall is situated on Kelsall Hill, on the edge of the Cheshire Plains. The village is located near the famous Sandstone Trail and Delamere Forest and offers picturesque buildings, two historic churches, renowned farm shops, as well as a number of excellent pubs - there is something for everyone here. Chester is located 8 miles north, and the city has quite rightly been described as 'the jewel of the North-West of England'. Perhaps the most fascinating aspect of the city is that within a very small area there is evidence of every period of history - from the old walls and amphitheatre of Roman times, through medieval churches, Elizabethan timber-framed town houses and Georgian terraces, to Victorian restorations and 21st century architecture. The city has much to offer the tourist, including superb shopping on the famous 'Rows', and lovely walks around the old Roman Walls, along The Groves beside the River Dee, or through the picturesque Grosvenor Park. The stunning Welsh mountains and coastline, and the market towns and villages of Cheshire and Shropshire are all within easy touring distance, whilst the nearby Wirral Peninsula has many splendid courses to tempt the golfing enthusiast.
