Welcome to Ley Fields Farm, a stunning grade two listed Georgian farmhouse standing in mature grounds with ancient copper beech and weeping ash trees, within the beautiful Staffordshire Moorlands countryside this spacious property is approached by a grand circular driveway and offers luxury accommodation for 9 guests, a perfect choice for your family holiday.

Step into the hallway, with a unique mosaic tiled floor leading to the beautifully furnished lounge with leather settees and TV, a perfect ambience in which to relax.

An additional sitting room offers a plush corner suite and Smart TV, as well as a place to enjoy board games, play the electric piano or browse the various books relating to the area.

The elegant dining room has original sash windows and shutters as does the lounge and with large dining table is perfect for family meals into the evenings.

The farmhouse kitchen diner with wood burning stove offers a relaxed dining experience, spend mornings around the table enjoying a tasty breakfast prepared with the excellent array of gadgets to make cooking a pleasure, this is also an ideal place in which to unwind and enjoy a drink and chat whilst your evening meal is cooking.

Also on the ground floor is a utility room housing a washing machine and tumble dryer and cloak room with wash hand basin and toilet.

An antique grandfather clock stands at the foot of the staircase leading to the magnificent landing with chaise-longue, here there are four bedrooms – two king sized rooms one with en-suite bath, the other en-suite shower, the luxurious rooms have views of the garden through the Georgian windows, a double en-suite and twin room with wash basin, both delightfully decorated, form a perfect family suite sharing a sumptuous bathroom with bath and walk in shower, these rooms may be booked separately as a double with en-suite or a twin with private bathroom.

Delight in taking a dip in the bubbling hot tub in the rear garden, a perfect way to end the day, dine alfresco and delight in views of the farmland whilst enjoying a glass of wine.

The property is two miles from the Victorian market town of Cheadle with its famous Roman Catholic Church ‘Pugins Gem’, it boasts all you need on a self-catering stay with shops, bars and restaurants to visit.

Stoke on Trent is renowned for its pottery industry a number of bottle ovens still remaining, visit the World of Wedgwood, Gladstone pottery museum and Emma Bridgwater a modern designer where you can paint your own pottery.

Trentham Estate offers tranquil walks through beautiful gardens and excellent retail therapy in the garden centre and shopping outlets, children of all ages will enjoy the Monkey Forest and a rope course through the trees provides challenges for the adventurous.

Much excitement is found at Alton Towers with thrilling rides, water park & crazy golf.

It also offers fine walks through the gardens and woodland and the Castle ruins are waiting to be explored.

Children will love the Peak Wildlife Park with birds and small mammals such as cheeky Meerkats.

Visit the Churnet Valley where you can hire a narrow boat on the Cauldon Canal or enjoy a ride on the Steam train and alongside these is the River Churnet all running through the scenic valley.

A short drive takes you to the Peak District, a fascinating area with varied landscape, dignified spa towns, picturesque villages and outstanding stately homes.

CHEADLE

Alton Towers 5 miles.

In the heart of Staffordshire, the pretty market town of Cheadle is situated just outside of the Peak District National Park and is surrounded by lovely countryside. The town has a charming cobbled market place and is dominated by the historic St Giles Catholic Church, a beautiful example the work of A.W.N. Pugin. With some lovely little cottages and a pretty main street, Cheadle is an interesting little town to wander and discover independent shops and tea shops, not to mention some wonderful Victorian architecture. Families will be pleased to know Alton Towers is just 5 minutes' drive away, while a little further away is the Churnet Valley Railway, some magnificent walks and cycle tracks, and the market towns of Leek and Ashbourne. With the whole of the Peak District so easy to explore, Cheadle makes an ideal year-round base.
