"The place is beautiful and the area is just as lovely."
The host was quick to respond and very helpful when we forgot the keys at home. We got loads of helpful information prior to our stay, which helped plan our days in Staffordshire. Place is highly recommended.

"Fab stay thank you, even if the stairs to the attic nearly finished me off!"
Could do with a bottle opener and some tongues for the kitchen. But great place

"This is a small cottage, if there are more than 2 staying (suggests it accommodates six) it will be very claustrophobic."
One toilet/bathroom which is downstairs proves difficult when visiting during the night as the stairs are narrow and steep, not recommended for anyone with even slight mobility problems. Very small tv for 2023, would suggest checking the tv operation between rentals as it was not tuned in and took considerable time to sort out. WIFI password should be included in the information file. Bath plug and sink plug do not seal, toilet seat I was loose.

"The only issue that we had were the stairs as they were very steep and narrow, not ideal for my elderly parents."
that aside, the location was brilliant, the property clean and comfortable.

"I had a lovely stay at coley lane."
No complaints. Comfy all round. Lovely location to shugborough hall... Lovely peaceful area.. 5*

"We really enjoyed our holiday."
The cottage is ideally located to explore Staffordshire (which we did) but our favourite memories are of walking down Coley Lane to the canal and continuing along the canal path.(in either direction). It was so beautiful and so peaceful. The Canalside shop and cafe (in Great Haywood) is a must visit. Compared with other cottages we have stayed in, 5 Coley Lane was "compact" and I struggled a bit with the stairs. It is what it is though, an authentic worker's cottage and we had a really good holiday staying there..

"Lovely place to stay."
3 really generous sized bedrooms. Nicely renovated, with a nice modern feel. Cosy place in a nice quiet village, but a great location with good access to a lot of the attractions within the Peak District.

"Had a great stay at this spacious and well styled cottage."
Cottage is well situated for exploring surrounding area and has plenty of supermarkets within reasonable distance for any supplies. Kitchen well fitted with plentiful supply of crockery along with all the main equipment you may need and bathroom also well fitted with great over bath shower. Stairs are steep winding which are probably not great for everyone and take a bit of getting used to. The garden is also accessed via set of steep steps. The downstairs of cottage is quite dark because of blinds which are there to give you privacy but there is very good lighting to compensate for this. Overall we had a very comfortable and relaxed stay and wound return in future.

"Cottage was beautifully presented."
very clean and comfortable. Great central location. lots to do locally. we went to Alton Towers for 2 days & Birmingham Bull ring Shopping.. all in all a great Holiday

"Stairs were a bit scary especially with young granddaughters with us, but we managed, house was dark but we were out most of the time, would have led a 2 nd bathroom but we will know in future to look for these things also wouldn't have minded a food pack with at least milk in it."
Beds were very comfortable.

"Great cottage and pretty much as described."
No problems with car parking outside or just up the street. The heating was always warm - actually too warm, even after turning the controller right down. Kitchen was fine for simple meals for a few nights when we ate in. Steps up to the garden were quite steep and slippery in the wet. The garden not enclosed (not dog proof).
-
"A lovely cottage with ample room and facilities."
Easy access to local area and attractions. Only one point that I would mention was that the bathroom window wouldn't shut and therefore made the bathroom cold. However it is a minor point and wouldn't stop me recommending or booking again.

"The cottage itself was perfect and I can't fault it, it was spacious, clean and in a central location to several walking spots in and around Cannock."
The only thing that would have been nice to know prior to arriving/booking was that the garden is not secured (as we had a dog that isn't great off lead) and that it has steep steps leading to the garden. The other item that would have been nice to know is that we couldn't leave our dog unattended in the property. But again this is isn't a negative, just would have been nice to know when booking.

"Lovely property, clean & modern throughout."
Great location for exploring the area, the canal is not far for a lovely walk. Equipment in the kitchen was the only thing which we were disappointed with, due to covid eating out was challenging requiring booking ahead etc therefore we cooked more than we usually would on a holiday. We had an issue with putting up the stair gates & contacted the owner who quickly came with a spanner so we could put up the stair gates. Lovely welcome pack left for us at the property. Would happily stay again as the kitchen issues are a minor thing.

"Had a lovely break, the cottage was lovely and a great base for us to go out and explore."
