  • "The cottage has everything you could need for a family break, it has all been thought of."

It is much more spacious than I was expecting, which was ideal for our large family. It was also really warm which was a welcome surprise when the temperature dropped over the weekend. On street parking wasn’t an issue during our stay, we had 2 cars and occasionally had to park further down the road, but on the whole were able to get a space out the front. All in all, a very comfortable and pleasant stay. Thank you.

Thank you for your feedback. I am so pleased that you enjoyed your stay. Property Owner

  • "What a great property in a wonderful location."

We stayed for a week and found the cottage to be very well equipped, clean and comfortable. The walkthrough bathroom was not a problem, we quickly developed a system! Although we initially booked for distance to Alton Towers, there is a lot in the village and many things to do do and visit in the area. We would recommend this property.

  • "Very well equipped property with a couple of exceptions."

Layout of bathrooms difficult although maybe unavoidable. Anyone in twin room can’t really exit or enter their bedroom if main bathroom is being used. Games room is good but equipment needs to be replaced for snooker table. Only one cue there which had the end missing. Grandchildren would have appreciated Wi-Fi in the games room. Son in law noticed some roof flashing missing above twin room and some dampness in there which the owners may wish to address. We noticed the actually socket on the cooker switch doesn’t work. Hope these comments help. We had a very enjoyable week and very convenient to Alton Towers.

Many thanks for your feedback. The description of the property specifies a Jack and Jill bathroom but I have asked for it to be made clearer. Unfortunately if guests don't tell us when things break we can't always spot the problem in time. I have spent money trying to extend the WiFi but without success. The roof flashing appears to be fine. Maybe it was next-door where there is a problem. The electric socket appears to work perfectly but it is a little stiff. Having said that, your comments are useful of course and I do hope that your stay wasn't adversely effected in any way. Property Owner

  • "We had a wonderful time At Staffordshire Knot Cottage."

It is in a great location close to pubs and walking trails. If you want to got to Alton Towers it is very close. The property is really spacious and there is every convenience you could need. It has a slightly unusual layout with the twin room being off the master bathroom but it is very easy to manage that as there is also a loo downstairs. We would happily book again and recommend it to friends.

Thank you so much for your feedback. We love the house and we are pleased that you had such a good time. Property Owner

  • "This is a fantastic property - huge!"

Plenty of space for everyone and everything required thought of and in the property for you to enjoy. Parking was never an issue as either outside of property or just down the street. Pubs close by were lovely. No noise in property from anything outside as all well insulated. Only slight issue for us was not realising that final bedroom Only had the bathroom as a through-door so did mean we meant some good timing to ensure everyone could move about freely. Wouldn't stop us rebooting just mindful how we sorted ourselves as a group.

  • "The cottage was very beautful."

It was bigger than it looked in the pictures. It was also in a lovely area. I was very dissapointed though to find that in the games room the games did not work. The cue for the pool table had no end on it so we couldnt use it. The other games in the room all had bits missing so this room couldnt be used at all. This was the main reason we choose this property as we wanted a games room. Also the furniture outside was very dirty so i spent the first day cleaning everything. I also got an email after we left saying the sheets and table cloth were left dirty, I did not realise we were meant to clean them before we left which seemed unusual. If the games room had been working and it was cleaned outside it would have been a lovely place to stay. The location was perfect.

Firstly, apologies about the games. When items are broken or lost and we aren't told it is sometimes difficult to know about them. Regarding cleaning, guests are not expected to do washing but, as you would at home, if something is dropped and it might stain, it is normal to expect the guests to try and remove the dirt before it stains. After extensive cleaning we managed to clean the tablecloth, sheet and matress protector but one pillowcase is ruined and the carpet isn't perfect. Property Owner

The young ones can escape the adults and head to the games room, where a small pool table, table football and Smart TV with a PlayStation is certain to keep them busy.

Meanwhile, the adults can unwind out on the rear patio and savour a glass of wine as they recount the day’s events.

As the evening cools, retire inside and climb upstairs to pick your bedroom, with a spacious super-king-size, a double and a twin bedroom with an en-suite shower room.

The twin bedroom is access via the family bathroom, the ideal place to relax your muscles after an action-packed day, with its deep tub and walk-in shower.
