"Lovely little place and with staff discount no grumbling from us."
Honest feedback we would say in need of a basic- cheap to do- makeover- paint job- staining to ceiling is really quite bad. Especially in sitting room. Entrance / Stair carpet is worn and very badly marked. Which gives a poor first impression. However overall a very nice stay in a cracking " small" place village and pubs/ most locals are a dream.
Thank you for your feedback. Sadly we did sustain some storm damage earlier this year and are aware of the stain marks on the ceiling. This is being addressed later this month. We just haven’t had the opportunity to with pre placed bookings. I am really glad you enjoyed the friendly nature and hospitality of the village.

"Lovely property and great location for touring the area."
Lovely view over the village square. Well equipped kitchen, though could do with an icebox in the fridge. Comfortable sofa and bed and good sized bathroom. Parking was not a problem for us, there was always a space nearby on the road.

"Crofts Annexe is a lovely central point to enjoy the village of Abbots Bromley."
The host was super helpful and flexible and I would definitely stay there again.
Note, the description says there is a washing machine on site but there is not, she has tried to get it removed from the listing so please bear that in mind if booking.
Cobwebs cafe is definitely worth a visit, especially if you have a dog.

"The property is in a good location, clean and well equipped."
The owner was attentive and helpful. Abbots Bromley is good base for touring the area. The village is very friendly with many places to eat and drink, including a fish and chip van every Thursday outside the goats head pub.We will revisit in the future.

"A charming old property, renovated with modern Kitchen, Shower room and excellent wi-fi."
Owner was very accommodating when we needed to amend booking dates last minute, due to a sudden radical change in circumstances.
Sykes need to amend their front summary page which says property has a washing machine.
A note in the property saying where the outside bins are located would help visitors. We left a telephone message on this but not sure if received.

"A lovely first floor apartment right in the centre of a beautiful village."
It was cosy but spacious at the same time. Very quiet too!
Thank you for the additional towels BTW. The kitchen had everything we needed and we enjoyed eating at the pubs and other local towns as well as in the apartment.
The villagers are very friendly.
We enjoyed our stay very much and would thoroughly recommend it to anyone.

Well equipped and the dishwasher was a bonus.
Three pubs, a cafe and an excellent Indian restaurant in the village. Goat's Head pub opposite wasn't open during the period of our visit but looked nice.
Excellent walks to the reservoir and surrounding areas all from the front door.
NT properties nearby.
Friendly host who was very responsive.

"Abbots Bromley is a charming and prize winningly well kept village famous also for the Abbots Bromley Horn Dancers whose horns are on display in the local church."
The property is located very centrally in the village overlooking the Butter Cross medieval hexagonal pagoda and the nearby Goats Head and Crown public houses.
Access to the first floor flat is through a shared front door and up a relatively steep flight of steps.
The accommodation comprises a sitting area with TV and wifi a kitchen/diner and a fairly cosy double bedroom with ensuite shower room.
The flat was clean and well provided for, including oven stove microwave dishwasher but not a washing machine and sufficient cooking utensils and tableware for 2. Ventilation in the shower room could have been improved by the ability to open the velux window in the roof but this is too high to do without a stick on a hook but it was adequate to keep down condensation if we opened the bedroom and kitchen windows for blow through. The water was impressively scaldingly hot throughout our stay.
One thing could have improved our stay. A folder or leaflet of information about local businesses services and recreational opportunities. A guest book would also have been nice to find out about what other people found interesting during their stay.
We spent several days visiting the lovely local National Trust properties having purchased membership, and several more days walking various routes in the Peak District although to get to some of these places we had to drive for more than an hour to the start. Abbots Bromley is more accurately adjacent to the Peak District and Dales than in it.

"The village is lovely."
The property says it has off road parking, but there is no parking at the property. The only parking is in a community parking area, at the local pub, if you can get a space. Also it says that there is a washing machine, but there is not. There is limited space for clothes, in the bedroom, and very little space to put things in the bathroom. The stairs to get to the property are very steep. There were no instructions in the property relating to the heating system, broadband or shower , which would have been useful.
Thank you for your comments and I’m really glad you enjoyed your stay in Abbots Bromley- it is a very pretty little village with lots of amenities and opportunities to explore the lovely local countryside. Our property is a character, listed building and is a first floor apartment so is entered via a set of stairs. The position and elevation of the property does afford excellent views of the centre of the village- which are especially great for village events such as the Horn Dance in September. There is parking for the property in the communal parking area in the centre of the village. This is directly outside the entrance. If on the very rare occasion parking is unavailable, there is another car park around the corner and within 2 minutes walk.
Thank you for your comments about storage, this is certainly something I am looking into addressing in the near future.
Many thanks for your custom and we hope to welcome you back soon.

"It was a very nice week the annex was comfy with most things you require."
It was missing a guestbook which is a shame and they only had a couple of leaflets about the village, so more wider ranging information would have been nice. I can highly recommend the Crown pub for evening food. The offroad parking mentioned in the description was infact the pub carpark across the road and if that's full you have to park on a road.
