"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at beech cottage."
It had everything we needed and was warm and comfortable. We also was made welcome with a basket of tea coffee and biscuits we really enjoyed and milk in the fridge. Thank you for the use of your cottage.

The cottage is beautiful with old features maintained alongside modern furnishings & touches. Being on a working farm with access to see the bulls and views of the valley made it very special. The hosts were very accomodating, checking in to sure we had all we needed. Would highly recommend. Marc & Courtney

It’s in a quiet area so sitting out in the court yard in the sun is a delight The cottage is just perfect in every way . There is a Jack and gill bath room ,very handy There lots to see in the area ,and a couple of pubs good food in the bear . We found sally very friendly and on hand if needed Beech cottage was spotless and warm when we arrived thanks to the underfloor heating .and a lovely rose in a vase picked freshly so nice as it was our anniversary.just made it special We would definitely recommend it and we will be back very soon Thank you .

I feel privileged that I was the first person to stay in Beech cottage. It is by far the most beautiful cottage I have ever stayed in. Very stylish and complete. Beautiful views & quiet surroundings. Close to walks, museums and Towns in Derwent river valley and Peak district.

The Fold Yard
The Fold Yard is an exceptional collection of eight properties that were originally constructed between 1895 and 1900. These lovely properties rest on a working farm amongst the scenic hills of Alderwasley, Derbyshire. Each of these has a wonderful farm-themed interior, private patios and an excellent location close to the Peak District National Park. The Fold Yard are ideal for families, friends and even couples who are looking to explore this luxurious province. While residing at The Fold Yard you can visit Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall and Kedleston Hall. Alderwasley is renowned for beautiful walks through Shining Cliff woods and the Midshires Way runs through the village near to Fold Yards. Locally the Great British Car Experience and the White Peak Distillery are only 2 miles away. The market town of Wirksworth is 2 and 1/2 miles away with local amenities, restaurants, St Mary's Walk where the ancient St Mary's Church stands, the Ecclesbourne Heritage Railway, Black Rocks and the High Peak Cycle Trail leading to Tissington. Alderwasley is on the boundary of Derwent Valley Mills World Heritage Site. The village of Crich (known as Cardale in the hit TV series Peak Practice) is full of character and history, and boasts a number of shops and several pubs. There are walks around the village, and trams (the village is home to the National Tramway Museum) move up the valley to some of the most beautiful views of the Derbyshire Dales. Matlock, 7 miles away, offers a range of shops, pubs and restaurants, as well as attractions such as Gulliver’s Kingdom. Magnificent views down the gorge can be enjoyed from the cable car that takes visitors up to the Heights of Abraham - a great place for all the family with its show-caves, nature trail, water gardens and Owl Maze. South of the town is the start of the High Peak Cycle Trail, while to the north are the market town of Bakewell, Chatsworth House and Park and Haddon Hall, with Carsington Water offering fantastic watersports - not to be missed!
