    A very comfortable building, warm and well furnished, this had all the amenities we needed (ample bathrooms, plenty of plug sockets, large communal rooms...) combined with lovely views and a useful location too. I would very happily book to stay here again without hesitation.

Wirksworth is a small, charming market town situated just a few miles from Matlock, on the edge of The Peak District. The town is full of character with many buildings of architectural interest, including its magnificent parish church of St Mary’s. Thriving independent grocery stores sit alongside a popular zero waste shop, gift shops and two butchers with a strong local food ethic. The weekly Tuesday market and monthly farmers' market (first Saturday of the month) provide local produce, coffee and crafts. Visitors will enjoy exploring the ancient “jitties” and courtyards of the Puzzle Gardens up above the Market Square, leading to the Star Disc with fantastic views high above the town.
